What do you consider a quality post? A lengthy discussion? A new discussion with a photo attached? Or a short posting can also be considered as a quality post too? © ronaldinu 2008

It is all in the text. If you have something great to say or ask , then it is a quality post.It can be long or it can be as short as a sentence. If it makes me think or I have the answer or at least I can help , then it is a quality post.

I consider a quality post to be more then only a few words and a picture helps but isn't necessary if others are like me we get a picture but then forget to add it.. Also in answering a discussion a person should have to answer more then "I don't know" or "Who know's" Or haven't heard of it and that be it. If I don't know about something I try to look it up or get more info on it. and add a little bit more then just I don't know.

In my opinion, a quality post means there will be many responses. Since it's interesting or meaningful, then more people tend to respond to it. Your this discussion is a quality one:) I love China

Ronaldinu That is a surprisingly difficult question to answer. I have seen good discussions of all lengths. However, for me they have to be well constructed and the point must be explicit so that there is no ambiguity. I do not expect flawless English, but it ought to follow the usual grammatical rules and NOT be written in cell phone text speak. Sometimes a photo helps but is by no means essential. What I really like to see in a discussion is the poster replying to those that have taken the time and trouble to respond. I think that is about it. P1ke

I consider a post as quality post if that post have new idea, new way thinking. The post also have new and different point of thinking. The post can give advice, solution, encourage others and share what they think. The important thing is even that post don't agree with others respond but they delivered the post in nice way that won't hurt others feeling will be a quality post.

For me the posts have to be interested in and well written. They also have to be written in an understandable way. I understand that we are not all fluent in English on here, but posts should atleast be understandble to an English-reading/speaking audience. That was a known requirement when members signed up for MyLot.

a discussion where the person, shares something of themselves, and does not just ask a question or send out a quote that somebody else makes, for example if the person sends out a quote they should write what they feel the quote means as well

In my opinion a quality posting is a posting giving maximum information about the topic covered.Basically the postings covered in this forum can be retreived by using a search Engine. So while doing so if your discussion contains certain details which are useful to the searcher then it is a quality post , since it is serving the purpose of providing the required information to the person who is using the searcg Engine. Same way any information which will add to the knowledge, may be it may refer the members on the forum or the person using the search engine, I think it should be a quality post. Thus quality post should be some reference article sort, but then since this is a discussion forum we may not want to post a dry posting just covering the information. So, I feel it is the providing an information in such a fashion that the emebers enjoy the discussion and the same it should give information . added photographs, references and quotations will definitely make a discussion more authentic as far as providing an information is concerned! And such discussions can be definitely be used by any user while composing ny article pertaining to the topic in quetion! Naturally if the discussion is informative it has to be descriptive and long too! Mylot people are constantly asking as to post the discussion which is as descriptive as possible1 This is always mentioned on the left side of the box in which we type our discussion! This is an indicator that lengthier, pertinent posts covering all posible details can be considered as quality posts! I don't think qulaity postsdoesn't necessarily mean to initiate a new discussion!we can add or post a discussion covering all the possible details to make the discussion lively and informative, so that it may be included under quality post. Remuneration also speaks about the discussion , like posting a few postings and making money equivalent to the postings done many folds means that your postings are quality type and they are thus fetching more cents than the latter! Thanks! It was a good topic of discussion ! I enjoyed participating in it! Happy Mylotting!

One that says more than I like this, or just a few words. If someone took the time to write something anything though I will respond to their post.

A lengthy discussion that's nicely written and properly paragraphed is considered a quality post to me.. ANd also, regardless it's commenting or starting, it has to be related to the discussion as well as useful or helpful in some ways or other ^_^ SHort posts can be considered to be quality post too, provided they are able to bring out their main points in the short 2-3 sentences ^_^ hehe

It's not the length nor the photo attached, a quality post for me is something that I know I can share a lot of things and I can relate with. I guess, I also have to say that I hate when I feel the post is a copy and paste thing because it kind off reflects the intention of the poster, aside from that I consider one a quality post if it's easy to read. No deciphering of meaning or stuff.

Well I think a quality post has substance to it. It does not have to be long but I like about 3 or 4 lines. It should say something useful and be relevant to the discussion. I do not expect people to write long posts. I do but that is the way I am, can't help it. I do not care about their grammar or spelling as long as I can understand the post. Photo's are a nice extra but not needed either.

A quality post is something that invites an answer that is more than just a word or two. Usually it will not be very short, but will take three or four lines to explain and express. For your post just now, for instance, you could have improved the quality by telling us what you consider to be a quality post and why. In some circles brevity is to be desired, but you have to overcome the tendency to be concise and brief when you are having online discussions.

That is a very good question my friend because I am sure every one has a different opinion of what a quality post is,in my personal opinion I think a quality post is usually a post that is very lengthy because that usually means a lot of effort has been put into the post but length does not always mean quality, because a really short post can be a quality post because,a quality post is any post that has a lot of thought and meaning behind it,or at least that is my opinion.

Hey there! A quality post to me is the one that is well explained, direct to the point and is interesting. I don't usually mind if it's lengthy or not just as long as it is direct to the point and well explained. Have nice day! Happy posting!
