TIMBER......A big tree just fell in my yard

Just this past time it stormed really bad a tree fell in the back yard. It fell among a bunch of other trees so not much of it landed in the actual yard, so it was not so bad.

I have never had a tree fall in my yard. When I first had my house built I told the contractors to get rid of all the trees in the yard. I guess I should have checked back often because they didn't. Right after I moved in I had all the trees removed they were long tall pine trees so they were not that much use. However my neighbor had trees in her yard and a hurricane pass through our area and trees fell all around her house thank God not a one hit the house, she said she could hear them falling. Everytime one fell on one side of the house she would go to the other side of the house and when one fell on that side she would go back to the other side. She said she did this all night long. It was funny the way she was telling it.

Yes, I have experienced that. I also have a picture to show of the tree. It was knocked down during a hurricane. Ita lso knocked part of the fence down. The tree wasn't wide. But it was a tall tree. I alos experiencfe it another time. It had alot more branches and was spread out more. If it would of fell anmy closer. It would took my bedroom out where I was sleeping during a bad wind storm.

No, but since I am living next to the woods it very well can someday, i just hope it wont :(

one time i was sitting in my living room and then i went outside and there was this huge tree across the street that feel and almost took out our power lines. whats so weird about it is that nobody in my house heard it and i was in the living room which is closest to the street. it was weird i thought i would have heard it cause its a huge tree!
