My husband keeps buying a star wars lego collections and he said that for Zach (our Baby) when he grow, then he can play with it. But the problem is, we didn't know if the interest of our baby is for the star wars lego what if he likes different toys. So if that happening it seems that my husband will be playing for those lego lolz. I know that my hubby really likes to collect toys like lego, wargames figures, trains but my collections are cars which he likes to buy me more and more even it's expensive lolz. I would like to know if you also do that kind of thing? or you husband do the same, they buy toys for kids wiht own thier own interest? Thanks for sharing. Happy posting.

I also liked lego as a child and mine are still intact and have complete pieces. As an adult, I also admire the designs of robots and cars but I am not inclined on buying them. I am contended on seeing and admiring them. I also like animation when I was a child till my teens. Now, I am amazed on how they were created. Take care.

lol =D MOst daddy and child will share the same interest.. And once your son starts to play with them when he's slightly older, he might be addicted to it just like daddy.. hehe ^_^ NO matter u or your hubby, or even all grown ups, they will always have a childlike side in them, and the only way to see it, is thru the things they like, and in this case, it's lego.. Though he collects them, but still u won't see him playing like a small kid.. lol =D And the most innocent side of him, is when u see him playing it with his son ^_^

I think that your husband is buying your son what he would like if he went back to being a child. My older son liked certain toys and I couldn't influence him. The stages were trains, planes, pirates, Romans and now Egyptians. He is a teenager now and fascinated by history. My younger son is a toddler and he likes balls to roll and bounce as well as musical instruments like his drum. I saw a lovely set of pirates for his age range but he isn't interested. I have to buy toys for suitable for his age and interests. However I am fitting in toys good for his development like a book and a jigsaw along with balls and a train. My brother in law loved buying my oldest nephew toys when he was a baby and young child. I collect costume dolls from around the world but I now neither of my sons will be interested in those. I think Zach is a lovely name and he will always have great toys. If he doesn't like one of them yout husband probably will.

My hubby is like that too, when I was pregnant with our first born son, he convinced me on buying PS2 and says that it is for our son, and then last week, my first born's 5th birthday he was about to buy a big RC car, said it was for the kids but I knew that it was really for him ha ha, but my kids does not want an RC car, said they will just destroy it just opted for a cheaper toy

The truth of the matter is that all parents do that to a degree starting with a child's first Christmas or birthday. We buy toys that are appealing to us and hope that the children will like them also. So I guess the answer to your question is yes. My husband used to buy our boys cars and I used to buy them trains before they were old enough to say what they wanted. Hope this helps. Good luck to you!
