Does Your Dog Get The Hiccups?

My Dog has had the hiccups twice in two days and is the first time ever that I have noticed that she was experiencing this. Does your dog get the hiccups? How often and how long do they last? What do you think causes a dog to get the hiccups?

I have a 3 month old pit mix and she got them a few times.I was told that it means that the pup is growing.Not sure if it is true.Thes hiccups last for a few min.

Interesting. Thank you very much for your response. My girl is 17 mnths and is full grown. She only started getting them yesterday.. They only lasted a few seconds. It was rather comical however because she sat up and looked at me like she was wondering what was going on. Last time, she hicuuped only 5 times and that was it.

I just always assumed my dog got them from eating too fast. They don't last but a few minutes but he gets them occasionally.

Interesting, thank you fasttalker. My little dog has not experienced the hiccups since I posted this. Perhaps she was eating too fast. It was kind of funny because she would look at me as if to ask what was going on. Lol. Thanks again. Cheers. PS: Beautiful Dog in your profile pic!
