Are we alone in this universe

The question of whether we are alone have always preoccupied man's psyche from the days of being cave dwellers to now at the pinnacle of the technological revolution.This is because irrespective of status or lack thereof, we all have this innate need to connect with each other ,this need to be apart of an organism, the need to know that we are not alone and this need drives our persuits The quest for answers to these questions is seen in just about every facet of our lives, our social activities ,our educational persuits and even our religious activities. Even consider a seemingly simple thing like the movies we watch eg E.T ,this shows how the preoccupation with such fundamental questions drives us to come up with scenarios as to how the "First Contact" with our galaxial neighbours might actually be .Several movies have taken a similar approach by trying to predict how these aliens would look and act if we met them. All our educational persuits whether we want to believe them or not is geared towards finding ways to explore our universe and even beyond.The mystery and intrique being the major motivational factor in this endeavour .All the technology created has been used in some way shape or form to come up with better rockets and space crafts that can peirce through this unkonown frontier and produce answers. Our Religious persuits are designed to find these answers but this is done through the persuit of a creator whom it is believed created all the observable space .This view has however been laden with controversy as many believe in evolution or the spontaneous creation of the universe.Whether a creationist or evolutionist both wonder if there are others either similar in make or different These questions may not be answered anytime inthe near future but taht doesn't stop persons from wondering about them .What do you think?
