My daughter went out trick or treating (yes she is 18 but looks much younger and she was suposed to be taking a friends grandkids but they couldn't make it at the last minute so she went out anyway and she wasn't the oldest trick or treater either lol). She got two toothbrushes and two tubes of toothpaste. She got a ton of candy. One of the houses she went to just gave her the last of thier candy......1/2 a bag!!! I will be rationing this out of course cause there is soooooo much! And she just stayed in our neighborhood!
How did your kids do? What did they dress up as? My daughter was dressed as Maid Marrianne. My nieces were princesses this year they are 4 years old.

I don't have any kids, and I didn't get to go out to trick or treating this year.
Yes, I'm also 18, but love it. :)
Though that's the funniest thing I've heard for getting for halloween, two toothbrushes and two tubes of toothpaste!
Must have been a generous lady.

May I ask you a question? Why would you ration out an 18 year olds candy? Did she go off trick or treating without you? Or di you go along to?
My kids made out like a bandit as well. My daughter was a cheerleader. My middle son was a wizard. My teen went with his girlfriend. I have no clue what he went as. He said he got alot of candy but was eating as soon as he got it.

Trick or treating isn't something that I particularly approve of, but I think in the UK the attitude to it is a little different to in the US. Funnily enough, I've just been chatting to one of our Canadian guests about it today, and it sounds like a real big event where he comes from, where fun is had by everyone.
It sounds like your daughter got a fabulous haul. If she's gone to all the bother of getting a costume together then I don't see why she couldn't go out, even without the little ones to accompany her ;-) The gift of toothpaste and tooth brushes made me laugh. Maybe they will help counteract all that sweet stuff!
