Well as some of you know my camera was stolen a few weeks ago. Finances haven't been that good so I knew I was on hold for getting a new one. Yesterday I was at K-Mart and seen a camera on clearance for $79.99 I looked and thought wow it’s a really good deal but I just can’t right now. I went home with my Sunday paper and looked in all the ads and found that the $80 camera I was just looking at was a better deal then I thought so I was thinking how I can do this. Where do I have money I am forgetting about? I looked in my paypal account and there is some there but not enough. My daughter who is 2 came in to the kitchen and said money ... She had found a penny and wanted to put it in the jar. So I said “well put it in” she walks over to the jar and puts the penny in and says more ... so I go in my purse and pull out the change and give it to her. She is putting each coin in one and a time and a light bulb goes off!!! MY CHANGE I CAN USE IT!!! So I grab the jar and bring it in the play room and start counting ... Not counting the pennies I had $88 in there!!! I am SOOO excited! I gave my daughter the biggest hug ever and said thank you ... not that she had ANY idea what I was talking about but she was happy to get the hugs oh and the treat! I let her pick a treat from the Halloween candy just because I was soo happy! Have you ever “found” money? Where did you find it? Were you looking for money or did you just come across it?

That is absolutely brilliant for you! I always think it is amazing how much change can build up over time. I have a jar that is absolutely full and I keep meaning to count it but it is one of those chores that takes forever and so I keep putting it off. But I can imagine how chuft you are and I bet your daughter was thrilled with her treat, I have a two year old daughter too. I have a habit of putting money in an old purse in another handbag, I put it in there for a reason but always forget about it and then when I come across it again it is always a lovely treat!

I seem to always leave money in my coat pockets! 2 years ago I wasn't tight on money I had a $50 in my pocket. Well last year I put my coat on and wore it three times before relized it was there! But when I did I had the biggest smile on my face. My husband and I went to dinner with it. We figured it was like free money so why spend it on bills!

That's wonderful news. Once I was talking to a rich person and he said to me that if you would like to be rich take care of your pennies. I did not understand what he said until years later. I hope that you enjoy new camera when you buy it. Your daughter deserves a big hug.

She didn't even know what she was doing I mean at 2 how could she?! But it worked and yes she got a HUGE hug - which she gets all the time but that one was extra tight and extra big! An old man once told me save your change youll be rich some day. I later found out that he saved his change for a while - bought a car in cash and then bought a house in cash!!!

That is so familiar! My daughter came over a while ago and wondered if I might have a few coins in my pocket for a "mile-of-coins" fundraiser she was doing. out came the box and we sorted $80 of silver coins and another $40 of 'gold'. Now we just have to build it back up again!!!

We normally wait till our jar is completely full then cash it in for vacation or some thing good. We recently emptied the jar. 88 bucks was nothing considering last time we had over a thousand! (its a 5 gallon jug) But it worked just perfect! I even got the replacement plan. So all in all I only spent out of my pocket $6.56!!!
