How many discussions have you started till date? Do you start a discussion every week or several a week or very rarely. Looking back at all the discussions you have started which discussion do you think has been your best discussion till date and why do you like it so much. Post in a link here for me also to read the discussion so that I will know why you like it.

I have started around seven discussions in total. I do not think I am great at them. I think the best one was one asking for help. I spilt water on my laptop the other day and people came to my help with their advice. I can never think of anything good to start a conversation with. I enjoy responding to other peoples discussions and do it better. Sorry I forgot a link. I will put it underneath. I would start a discussion around every three days. I get ideas and write them on paper when they come to me, so I do not forget. Hope this helps.

I do not often post discussions but I find two of my discussions as my best. The first one was "Anyone interested in being my friend?" in which I experienced how warm the people of myLot can be. I've had a good number of responses there in which people wanted to be acquainted with me. The second one is "How many slices of pizza can you eat at most?", this is the discussion whom I had the most responses so far. But it's not actually the responses that made it best but rather the fun I've experience in reading people's thoughts and the thrill of meeting other pizza lovers out there. I can say that these two discussions are equal, for me, and they are the best that I cam up with so far. I'll post my links when I come back, for a comment... I have to go, someone's calling me. hehe.

Hi mayka, I’m not a productive discussions creator here so the discussions I have started are less than 80. I don’t set any fixed time to start new discussions. I would write new discussion only when I have any good idea. Anyway I’m not good in starting discussion, and so far I still couldn’t find any discussion which is good enough to share with you yet. posting and have a nice day.

That one actually is a two years old discussion. I did have two discussions that have received more than a hundred of responses. One is about chain letter whereas the other is talking about having shower with cold or hot water. I don’t think a discussion that has received more responses is considered as a quality discussion.

I think one of your recent discussions that you had started about keeping a photo of loved one....received more than 80 responses. Some of the discussions that you start are indeed different from the routine ones started here.

It is sad that you do not get much responses to your discussion. But I can say that I have responded to all your discussions....well I dont think I have missed any. The link that you sent here is about a very scary discussion which I dont think any of us here would wish to happen. Any way I now have the email id's of all my close friends here and would be able to be in touch with them even if we are no more on mylot.

Hi Mayka, I have not started many discussions. I prefer to respond to others than creating my own. My best discussion is on 'skip break fast' started last week and so far I got 75 responses, so this is my best. You also participated in the same. I would like to express my gratitude here.

Out of these few discussions that you have started which is the one where some response may have touched you or it was on a subject that is close to your heart?

I rate most of my discussions as my best, it is difficult to single out one. Every discussion has got its own importance and I like each one of them. I have no set time frame to start any discussion, whenever any idea or topic comes in my mind, a start a new discussion. I feel it is easier to respond then to start a new discussion...LOL!

I tried to see my discussions and found that I too could not single out any single discussion. Yes it is much easier responding than starting new discusions.

Nowadays I rarely start discussions. But I make sure I post atleast two in a week. It is because sometimes I dont have material to post or am too busy to think of what to post. Even in responding to discussions am too busy to an extent that i respond to only those I get in the mailbox. I dont have the best discussion in all my discussion. I have like 5 of them which are my best and among them I cannot decide the best of them. You have given me the task of going through them all and select the best.

There are a lot of young parents here so that may be the reason why discussions about kids are getting more replies. What of your discussions did you like the most?

I really do not know as I just do it every now and then when I feel it is something worthwhile and not just a post for the sake of posting something. I have to feel strongly about it, whether it be serious or for fun.

I don't know how to rate my discussions, by responses? or how much they help, or what? The simple ones seem to get the most responses. But some of the articles seem to hit the spot and help someone

I am not sure how many I have started in total mayka qas I have been here a long time now! These days I try to start at least one discussion every one or two days because I couldn't manage to keep on top of any more than that! I have been fortunate to have a number of discussions reach over 100 responses now which was pretty inspiring for me; but so far I would have to say that my best discussion in my mind was the one I actually posted a few days ago that was about an 8 year old boy being charged with premeditated murder. This one has received 40 responses so far and although it is a very, very sad and tragic story and difficult to talk about; the fact that 40 people responded intelligently, shows that we can also be serious on here and still get good quality interaction happening! I would much rather get a mass of quality responses for a serious topic that encourage further debate and exchanges, than many quick and short responses for my more fun or straightforward topics.

Thanks guys. It is just a shame it was such a sad topic. But the responses and ongoing discussions within the thread were very rewarding to read and take part in. I was very surprised that it turned out that way actually in terms of the number of responses. I am most impressed with my fellow mylotters!
