per minute. The temp. service agency said I qualify to type in some parts of the hospital. So if an opening comes up, they will refer me.
I did terrible on the Microsoft test. Came out beginner, but they will send me online classes to learn how to modify documents every way there is. I rely on my computer popping up and telling me my options. Unfortunately, on this test, that doesn't happen. I usually use Word Perfict, I type, adjust spelling, and print. I don't make tons of modifications. Out of 47 modifications that you can do to a document, I could do about 10. 37 more to go. Also, some things that I do with a mouse, the question asked me to do it without the mouse. They really can't refer me until I can modify what I type to suit my employer's needs. So I will be studying that online in addition to the other things that I'm doing.
I have 4 pages worth of forms to fill out for the state of NY and one to send to my Doctor. Wish they had told me that before when I had my doctor fill out something else before. Then he could have gotten it over with all at once. But of course not. Wonder how many more times they're going to want me to bug that man.
At least now, there are starting to be some openings. For awhile, there weren't any openings. Now a few are starting to trickle in. I like that. That is a little more encouraging.
So have you ever taken a typing test? What were your most recent scores if you've taken more than one. If you would like to find out your speed, www.learn2type.com and some others have tests you can take. Have you ever taken any other types of tests for jobs? How did you do? Have you had to fill out a lot of forms for an agency helping you find a job or for a job?

That is great, and thanks so much for sharing this site..When I filled out my applications, I guessed how many words per minute I did, and now I can see how close I was..

It's a good site to practice on especially before a test. There are others. One has you type nursery rhymes and another one has business-related topics. So there are other sites besides this one, but I like it. It's the symplist one. Glad you liked it, thanks and take care.

I found this interesting :)
I tried and my result came back 28WPM. I do know I type faster, but since English is a foreign language for me I have to be careful about the spelling. So im sure if I did that test in my own laguage, where I know exactly how something is spelled without having to think about it I'd do much better. But it is still a fun site...thanks :)

I'm glad you like it. I like to use that site to practice before I take a test so I can come out faster. I'm sure you would be able to type faster in your own language, I bet if I did it in French, I'd be way slower. Take care
