http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/11/08/waste-from-gut-bacteria-helps-control-your-weight.aspx This is very interesting and I have learned things, from this article, that I never knew! I know that pasteurizing foods is not good. Nature made foods just as we should eat them and man should stop messing around with them. All of these GE foods (genetically engineered foods) are messing around with nature. That is one reason we like to grow some of our own vegetables and like locally grown, chemical free produce that uses seeds that are not GE seeds.

I watched a thing on pbs last summer about genitcally altered food and it really bothered me. I do not think anything we get anymore is healthy. We have to grow our own food and make our own food. Cook from scratch. http://preparedforsurvival.blogspot.com has some great tips.

Thanks, that is a great blog and I bookmarked it so I can go back and reference it and share it. We cook everything from scratch and use fresh or frozen (but you still have to read the labels on frozen foods). I tried to convince my daughter on cloth diapers, but she did not want to have anything to do with them. I can imagine how much she could save if she used them.
