Now that I can cut and paste....

...darned if I can find anything I want to c&p! How silly is that? After weeks of painstakingly typing in 100-character long urls, retyping quotes from articles and grumbling every time my browser reboots and loses the response I was typing - I can't find a single thing I want to cut and paste!
Do you use cut and paste in your discussions for anything?

No, because Im below 500. No, because I actually type my discussions, comments and responses here in MyLot. Happy MyLotting my friend.

Actually, the only time that it's really bothered me is when my browser freezes and I have to re-open it. On most sites, Firefox will just paste what I was typing back into the form, but it didn't work here on mylot. Thanks for your response and happy mylotting to you too.

Your biggest problem is your computer. MyLot uses a spam protection system. It's not MyLot is the problem.

You are not alone in that kind of boat you are riding right now and I think it is a wise idea to have the copy/paste feature at a little far because when you reach that number of post, you will be able to get the comfort of writing it over and over and no longer have the time to do the copy/paste thing. Before, I am dying to use this feature but when I reached 500 I cannot think of anything already. The only thing that I used it is when my connection is acting up, so as not to waste much time in rewriting and go back from the beginning.

That's a wise way to use it. I'm afraid I tend to think as I type, so I almost always type directly into the form - not just here but on my blogs, on poetry sites and just about everywhere. Thanks for your response!

i use cut and paste specially if my server is slow, i dont want to type my post again if ever it gets lost in the middle of loading the page i will not be disappointed. so for me copy and paste is important. when i need to share links too of sites that i like to share. but the most important is i use it on days when my server is slow. goodluck with mylot and enjoy posting

That was exactly the reason that I wanted to reach the magic 500 - I hated losing a post I'd really worked on when it didn't post properly. Thanks for the good wishes -I do enjoy posting here.

I am desperately trying to get to the magic 500 mark myself at the moment, not that far to go now, but I have a feeling that when I do, I will be in the same boat as yourself and not find much use to it, although It will be nice to know that it is available.
By the way congratulations on getting to the 500 posts. Well done.

Thanks! You don't have that long to go yourself - just keep on posting and you'll get there soon enough.

I do use the cut and paste feature quite a bit.
I sometimes use it to add links to articles in my posts.
I might also use it if I am wanting to accurately spell the user name of someone I am responding to in my post.
And of course I have used it when I have attempted to respond to other people's responses to my posts as I otherwise might not answer all of their questions, etc.
I appreciate the feature a lot and am glad that it exists.
It was something that I was looking forward to a whole lot.
Enjoy finding ways to use it.

Thanks, whiteheron! Pasting user names is one way that I hadn't thought of using it, but it makes perfect sense. It is handy to add links to articles, or to paste in an excerpt from an article for discussion. I appreciate your response!

I am kind of the same way! I couldn't WAIT to get to 500 and be able to copy and paste! And now I almost never use it! I only use it to copy/paste my brilliant poems! *LOL* :) But, I know that it will come in handy some day. It is a nice option to have. It is good to know that it will be there for me when I DO need it! :)
