Making Plans

Who in your relationship makes the most plans and why? I am asking this because I was trying to make plans for Thanksgiving, like I always do. I asked hubby if he would like to have his Mom here for dinner or go to his brother's house since we were invited there too. His reply is I don't know, haven't thought about it yet. I told him to start thinking so I can make plans and make the necessary calls in time. A few days later I asked my husband again and he was annoyed that I needed to know so soon. It is only a few weeks away. Now he tells me he wants to go away for the long holiday weekend to Connecticut (My home town). This changes everything, I have no family left there and I do not want to just call up a friend to try to get invited to stay or eat there. So now we need to find a hotel, a restaurant to eat Thanksgiving at which most need a reservation and travel on what they say is the most traveled day of the year. For a man who can not make plans really seems to pop a doosie one on my lap.

With everyday plans my hubby leaves those almost completely to me. He then just goes along. We generally discuss holiday plans and come to an agreement a few months in advance.

I usually make most plans here too, no big deal, I actually like it that way.I just wish he was more active in that area and to be able to make them in advance is a great thing, that is what I was always used to. He can never look that far ahead. Kudos to you and your husband.
