I have Kaspersky that has a features preventing intrusions of hackers. It has Anti-Hacker, Firewall and Intrusion dectection system running at the same time. It has monitoring for Active Netowrk Applications and for Open Network Connections and also for Open Ports. I know that it is not enough but atleast i have protection for from intrutions.

Good choice as well. More than enough programs to stop a hacker. Same thing with Nortons 360. I love my Nortons products. Been using Nortons for 20 years. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Wow what a great all in one program you have got ,a multipurpose software. How much it costs ? Is it a freeware/sharewaer ? Yes Around 65k TCP ports in a system tough to ensure all are close so better to use some software like u r using . I use firewall , and a antivirus program to prevent my computere ,which is I think just minumum Thanks for your response and such a nice information... Happy Mylotting Take Care Ganesh

Kaspersky is not a shareware/freeware, at first i am hesiant to use it because i am not familiar with it until i got a license copy from our company (Our company shifted to Kaspersky) and tried it in my PC. It really works great! i found it better that all the AV i'd used before.

Hello, There are at least 4 things you can do to make your computer a bit safer. 1) use a good antivirus 2) use a good firewall 3) use a good spyware/malware protection. 4) use a program that alert you on fly about registry entry modifications. The problem is find something that is not too much heavy in terms of cpu load and memory charge, otherwise you will have a protected but unusable computer ;) Personally i use the avira freeav as antivirus, filseclag personal firewall, spyware terminator, and winpatrol. They seems have good performances in term of protection, and are not so heavy. Anyway in addiction of that, could be a good way use a virtual machine, to "confine" the "bad boys" inside a virtual computer, not in your own ;)

hacked computer - hacked computer: screenshot
should be not nice, get something like this pic in our systems, isn't it? Personally i never saw something like that, but i saw once, in a my friend office, a piece of paper comed out from a printer, where we was beable to read (the original was in italian): I was here, checking your computer. Seems everything is running well, but if i were you, i would like to care much more about the security of your systems there. Wish you a great day. Was quite shocking. The good was i was not his system manager, coz he lose the job suddenly ;)

I use Nortons 360. This includes a firefall as well as anti-virus and other programs. No problems ever with this program. One needs a firewall for sure. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
