getting clothes ready for school

I used to get my childrens uniforms ready when they were in their primary years in school.But when they reached their later years in their secondary level they learned to manage their own clothes because they knew we have to work all together so they can continue their studies.How I miss those years.Washing and ironing their clothes.

My sons go to a private school so they take all the guest work of deciding what my boys are going to wear to school each day. Once my oldest son at age 10 was able to put on his uniform without any help from dad,he also helped out his little brother too. I do try to let them pick out their own clothes when we go out and stuff which is the only time they really get to weaar things they want.

My daughter is 8 and she is very strong willed when it comes to what she wears to school. She will not wear dresses or anything that is girly! She drives me crazy! Finally I tell her she can wear whatever she wants, but it has to match....we have different ideas of what matches too, but it isn't worth an arguement. Some days she will go to school looking like a little welfare child:( I don't fight her on it. Other days she is lazy and asks me to pick out an outfit for her. I know to grab the jeans or sweatpants or it will be vetoed!

Most of the time I grab my son's clothes for him in the morning because it makes the morning go smoother. If I leave it up to him to get his clothes he tries to take forever or gets out clothes that don't go together. Oh, he is 8.

My oldest just started kindergarten. We have an organizer on her closet that has space for clothes Monday through Friday. She picks out her own clothes on Sunday, but there are times we suggest maybe a different pair of pants or shirt if something doesn' match quite right.
