Mayon volcano, which is popularly known as the volcano with a perfect cone is located in Legaspi City. It is one of the active volcanoes in the Philippines. It is now currently ranked at 12 on the new seven wonders of the world. This is a tourist spot that we, Filipinos, are proud of.
Another attraction that can be seen near Mayon is the bell tower of the church of the town of Cagsawa. It was the only remain from Mayon's most destructive eruption in the 19th century.

Being a Bicolano myself it is hard not to know the beauty and uniqueness of that volcano. I think it is quite common for every Bikolano to be proud of that as that is already the symbol most Filipinos identify the Bikolanos. I have seen it erupt and despite its destructive nature it still is an awesome view to watch it erupting. It is being watch by so many tourist even at this dangerous times. It is fantastic to look at it at night as you can see the whole mountain glowing from the lava flow and the eruption create a somewhat fireworks effect.

Actually, I've never seen the Mayon yet!!! I live in the Philippines but I haven't taken the time to look at this popular attraction. Is there anything else to see when I go Albay? Mayon is in Albay right? I just don't like going on a trip to a small town only to look at a volcano!!

I have never been to Bicol yet. but I would like to go there when I get back home and see the mayon Volcano which is famous for her perfect cone.
I also want to buy some stuff there like the native bags and taste a very authentic Bicolano dish..

I haven't seen it yet. But I am really considering going to Albay to witness it myself. It is part of my plan to travel across the Philippines and Albay is one item in my list. I just hope that I could go there in the near future. I want to take a picture of the famous volcano and have it framed in my room. Or perhaps I could spend some of my days there for a short vacation. What do you think? lol!

Yeah, I already got the chance to see our famous Mayon Volcano and the Cagsawa Church, I think I saw it three years ago, when I visited my relatives who are living near Legaspi City. It was quite beautiful scenery, really like a perfect cone, although I didn't see it much clearly since it's really foggy and got a drizzles when we got there. It's really one of the lovely attractions you don't want to miss when you visits Albay.

I've seen it many years ago. I think I've been in Legaspi at least twice. You can see the volcano as a panoramic view in the waiting lodge of the Legaspi airport. I also went to Cagsawa ruins. Sadly, the belltower has been vandalized much. Still, it looked enigmatic and picturesque like how it is presented in postcards.

I haven't been to Bicol so I haven't seen the Mayon Volcano yet
. My former office mates considered it as one of the locations that we are supposed to visit by end of this month but they opted for either Davao or Negros
. I hope that next year, I will be able to see the perfect cone and the Cagsawa church as well.

Yup... i have seen Mayon Volcano... and i was such a sight to behold... first time i saw it was early in the morning... and i felt this deep desire to call someone to share the experience... good thing i was able to call a good friend...
I remember people from Legazpi City telling me that the Mayon Volcano chooses the visitor to whom it will reveal itself... i wonder if that is true...

I have seen it on a clear blue sky last september. It was my very first time to see the beauty of mayon after my 2nd visit. I feel like I can live in Albay and migrate there. I have this affinity with the place.

It's far too different with real thing.
