Its the only ghost story i have:
I was out in New Hamshire, the Keene Area a while ago spending a weekend at my friends dads home. Her parents had separated a while before and her dad lives alone in a large home that has been in his family for a long time. The home is in an area with lots of woods, not so many neighbors. On the way there my friend simply told me "by the way, its haunted". Your telling me now? I didnt really know how to react so i just waited to see what it was like. The two story house made of dark wood panels with lots of knick knacks everywhere had a welcoming yet not so much feeling to it. We spent a lot of the afternoon in the downstairs den area where we heard someone running, like they were training for a marathon, in the upstairs corridor. Her dad said "its just the ghost, i think its my dad", and nothing more (it was my first time meeting him). My friend was like, "probobly my grandpa". Anyway, night came and we were getting ready for bed. Her dad sleeps downstairs with the TV on the couch everynight even though he has his room upstairs. My friends little sister and friend decided to sleep upstairs with us, but in the room at the far end of the corridor, the grandparents old room, with sleeping bags. Me and my friend chose my friends old room, which was oddly welcoming, a buttery yellow color with windows that overlooked the field, however in one odd corner there was a little door, i didnt ask qeustions. Our room was at aa 90% angle to the bathroom which was the room opposite the girls room at our end of the corridor. The first night i didnt hear much, but didnt sleep. At around 4:45 am i heard someone run from the other end or the corridor to the bathroom, close the door, turn on the water, flush the toilet, turn on the shower, and knock some things off the counter. The next morning i pulled the sister aside and asked why she would make so much noise at that time, to which she responded that she never goes into the corridor from when the bedroom door is closed to the morning light. Creepy. Anyway the next day we heard the running a lot more. We went to a festival that day and left a necklace on the table in the den in a straight line, when we got home it was moved around. There is one other room in the upstairs, directly next to the one i stayed in, the little sisters old room. This room is the oddest in the home. It is dark, and has bunk beds with tons of stuffed animals everywhere. There is a an octopus stuffed animal hanging from the second bed which when i often passed the room found it to be spinning slowly. The worst part is there is a set of drawrs in the room in which the handles on the bottom drawr on a daily baisis are ripped off, or broken. Everyday her dad fixes it, and everyday the drawr is pulled open a little and the handles messed with. The only thing in that drawr is Madisons devil halloween costume from when she was little. The girls that night decided to sleep with the dad downstairs, so it was just me and my friend. We went up to bed and by this time i had a feeling in my stomach. We were in our room and both needed to go to the bathroom, so we decided to hold hands open our door run with eyes closed to the bathroom and close the door, after finished to do the same to return to bed. We made it into the bathroom and brushed our teeth and etc, took a deep breath and returned to our room. As the handle of our door clicked closed into place we heard someone begin to run from the other end of the corridor harder than we had heard since we arrived. The bathroom door slammed shut, and everything turned on and off, things crashing to the ground, then we heard the door open, but no footsteps or running. Was it right outside our door? What the h$%l was it? After time passed we just heard running all night long from one end to another.
Ive never had anything like that before, or since then, happen to me.
Creeps.

During the entire time i was reading that my mouth dropped open a little more with each passing sentence... that REALLY is creepy... i wouldn't have spent another night there lol so you are way braver than me!
I was like 10 or 11 at the time (am 25 now) and my cousins and i (perhaps there were 10 - 15 of us) were in the backyard of our aunt's home. It was night time and the smell of the various flowers hung so sweetly in the air i remember because it was such a lovely smell. Most vividly i remember the huge white roses that one of their rose bushes had...
There was a swing set, slide, see-saw... the entire thing.. (my aunt has 9 kids! so they had their own park!) and each was playing on one thing... one sitting on a swing the other pushing them on it, playing games like hide-n-seek... it was a warm spring night... i got on one swing and i forgot which one of us suggested we sit with our back facing the house and face the alley... so there we were 3 - 4 kids swinging some getting additional help some not... then i could have sworn it was a cat on the path leading to the back gate... to the alley... but the eyes were HUGE. Then something scared me deeply the eyes were a deep red... and it was dark so the eyes were seemingly glowing... moving up as i swung up and moving down as i swung down... i felt myself panic... the eyes were so close to the ground... i never jumped off a swing but terror makes those fearing heights jump. We ALL jumped off and screamed... we ran like hell broke loose inside! 3 of us were a mess... we were in tears.. only 4 or 5 of us saw it.
One of my cousin's who's dad we went to was with us while we were repeating what happened through half sentences as we were freaking out... he insisted we take him outside and point where we saw the eyes. We did, and he just started laughing we turned from freaked out to real mad... what's so funny! He said follow me...
We weren't so excited to go the direction what seemed some devil's eyes were watching us but insisted we would be safe... we walked a distance through the alley and he pointed at a radio tower saying what we saw was probably the blinking red lights and they seemed to move since we were on the swings...
I didn't believe it nor did they. We were screeching AMOOOO (uncle) it was near the GROUND... that's so far up... he said there is nothing with red eyes that we were imagining it...
a group of kids seeing the same thing describing it the same way, all running like something was about to eat us... sorry amo (uncle) i don't think so.
