Since I have mentioned before that even after the heat of the election I will still do my part to keep up to date...well this also includes me re-reading documents I have been taught either in school or by my parents. See in my household whether our parents were homeschooling us or whether we attended public school they made sure we not only read and memorized historical documents we also knew our state's capitals and histories. Well that was some time ago. So this is my personal challenge of the year for me...to re-read the US Constitution. Even though I understand the importance of it I intend to read it to not only refresh my education on it, but to also make sure my understanding of it. Maybe all of us new voters, somewhat voters and just people who live here...LOL should take a gander at this. It won't hurt, right? I figured this was an appropriate section because it does begin with "We the people" Do you ever go back over things you learned as a child when you are an adult to make sure you know what you know?

Make sure you pay close attention to the Bill Of Rights, that one could be challenged in a few years. I home school my children and we study important things and reiterate them in daily life. We try to apply what we've learned and learn from what we've been taught. Sounds like a good challeng, I may have to join you on that.

Oh I printed it out last night just before I posted this and began to read it before bed...uh...yeah I do have a challenge before me but I never let something of a tough read ever get me down. Plus a lot more things make sense now and that was only the first page or so. Who knew? When we were little and homeschooled I remember my parents made each of us memorize and recite the Gettysburg address. I do not recall much of it, hardly any. So that will be me next one...LOL In between my fiction novels that is. It's good your teaching your kids our history. makes for a solid foundation.
