Tenchu Fatal Shadows - In the image, you see Ayame waiting for the right moment to strike.

In a time of feudal wars, Rikimaru and Ayame, two ninjas of the Azuma clan, served Lord Gohda by returning his precious daughter, Kiku, from the hands of Lord Mei-Oh. Unfortunately, Rikimaru was caught in a disastrous rockfall during his escape, in an attempt to save Ayame and Kiku, and is still missing. The land of Gohda remained peaceful after Mei-Oh's attack, and Ayame, as an agent of Gohda, continued to patrol the expansive territory.

One day in her travels, Ayame came across a destroyed ninja village. She hoped to find survivors, but arrived too late. The ninjas of Hagakure died whispering the "Kuroya" with their final breaths. As Ayame was about to leave, a young female ninja stood in her way. Her name was Rin, back from her training, and devastated to see her village in ruins. She sees Ayame as the only person alive, and blames her for the destroying of her village. Eventually, Rin sees that it was not Ayame that destroyed her village. The two team up to find the people responsible

Hello to all that like video gaming! (^_^ ) Whenever a game catches my attention, I wouldn't mind watching how it gets played. Perhaps a trailer, the intro or perhaps an ending of the game getting played or even an actual gamer playing the game. Be it at arcades or at shops that let you play console games for a fee, if its one of those games that I like, I wouldn't mind watching for a few moments and see how the playing gamer would do. Then I noticed that whenever I play video games at home, its always amusing when some of my brothers or sister would watch me play. Like one time, I was playing Tenchu Fatal Shadows and I was about to eliminate a non-suspecting enemy when it turned around and caught me approaching which alerted other enemies. My sister who was watching at that time got more disappointed than I was which was kind'a funny considering that she was just watching me play.. (^_^ ) How about you? Do you like it when someone watches you play video games? Share some point of views on why you like or don't like it when someone is watching while you play if you want to. (^_^ )

It depends on the game and the person who's there. There are some games that I hate being watched while playing and there are others than are tons more fun with friends around. Shooters are an example of game genre that I don't mind having people around when playing. We laugh at stupid mistakes such as walking out into the open and getting sniped by accident, shooting an ally and then watching somebody in the same internet cafe yell out 'Who the hell shot me?!', etc, etc. As for the person, this is where my opinion changes. I have a friend who has an annoying little brother. I don't really like playing many games around him. Shooters are fine, I guess, but he makes some comments that aren't needed and tends to enjoy telling me what to do more often than laugh at my mistakes. In general, I enjoy playing games with people around but only if we're playing in turns. It's no fun to be the only one with the remote (or mouse) and having them just watch you. So yeah, I'm more of the type that likes laughing rather than hardcore gaming.

Hmm I think its more fun to watch someone who is watching me play. Cause like your sister, they are the most emphatic ones. Would shout when your character barely made a jump, would touch the screen or just point to where your character should go, and might give orders on what they want the character to do. Knowing full well that you have played the game a hundred times and know exactly what you need to do. Its more fun to watch their reactions than to actually pay attention to the game that I was watching.^_^ But then again, there are those 'watchers' who doesnt just watch but would give you a nudge, a tap, and sometimes be bold enough to punch/slap your arm for not doing things the way that they'd want it. Honestly, Im not much into others watching me play. That would just set expectations and might become distracting. But Im for it when its a group activity. I mean having friends over, playing against each other while the others are watching waiting for their turns. There would be a lot of screaming, teasing, laughs, taunts, jeers, and just plain having fun. Now, that's entertainment.

Crash Team Racing - Gameplay is similar to that of Mario Kart; the following are gameplay elements original to CTR. Collecting ten wumpa fruit improves any item used. The game has a special "power slide" move that gives the player a speed boost while turning. It should be noted that in the last Jak and Daxter game from Naughty Dog: Jak X: Combat Racing also has a "power slide" which gives you an extra speedboost.

In the races, boxes contain weapons or other powerups that give the player an advantage. Green and black arrows on the ground (turbo boosters) will give the player a short speed increase. Most of the courses contain obstacles that cause a loss of speed, and must be avoided.

As in Mario Kart, CTR has a battle mode, in which players attack each other in one of several special battle arenas, some of which are unlockable.

Collectible items include trophies, crystals, gems, and relics. A number of secret characters can be activated throughout the course of the game.

It is really nice to already know a game that you are playing and others that would be watching are all engrossed into it that you'd even let them get surprised and make them feel excited over things that have also made use feel excited when you first played the game. Those that would even dare touch me along with their comments and suggestions on playing a game would probably get a stern stare, of course that would be something rare if it does happen. Good thing nobody does that to me. I also like group gaming. (^_^ ) Before, when the PSX console still was that dominant gaming item that would even get business by having it rented by gamers, I always enjoyed gaming with friends or classmates. Be it on fighting games, racing, especially that dance simulation with those dance pads that could also accommodate more than two gamers by enabling a group to take turns while playing. Crash Team Racing was some of the games that my classmates couldn't beat me so most of them took turns on the controller while I kept mine (^_^")

Well, if you really want to enjoy those watching you play, being manipulative gets you that kick out of it, I suppose. (^_^ ) Its probably because games that I do get to play at rental shops are those that I do know and by standers or those who are also playing with their games and end up watching my gameplay, perhaps while their game is being loaded, would either know what I am doing or know nothing about the game to comment about anything to it. PSX is also known as the first PlayStation console released by Sony. If you were still living under a rock by those times, that rock must've been very accomodating for you since the PSX covered more years compared to the PlayStation 2 which only took a few years and then the PS3 became available. Yeah, often the change the loser routine would be our type of gaming when we're more than two players. Winning more than a couple of times does get boring so you should at least lose a round or two but, make them disappointed when you really don't lose the match to get you dethroned (^_^")

Yeah, a but manipulative but definitely highly amusing.^_^ Yikes! You'd be that strict? as in 'no touch'(something like that) at all? ...yeah, good thing:p PSX? I havent really come across that, not that Im aware of at least. WAs probably still living under a rock or something Well, at least you got to enjoy it. Oh, those "Challenge the winner" or "Change the Loser" kinda rule huh? That is fun, especially when the 'unbeatables' finally get dethroned.

Video games now are so different from the video games when i was young... i remember playing river raid, space invaders, galatian, and even pacman... but now... i don't think i will fit in with the ones... To answer your question... yes... i am fine with others watching me play... as long as they are quiet... and not giving me tips on how to play my own game... if they do... then they will get a piece of my mind... That situation is currently a rare occurance... since i don't play video games anymore...

Space Invaders - Space Invaders ( Supesu Inbeda?) is an arcade video game designed by Tomohiro Nishikado in 1978. It was originally manufactured by Taito and licensed for production in the U.S. by the Midway division of Bally. Released initially in its native Japan in 1978, it ranks as one of the most influential video games ever created. Though simplistic by today's standards, it was one of the forerunners of modern video gaming

Game before were all about having fun after all.. as time went on, things just got improved and some games are even anticipated like those series of movies at the cinemas (^_^ ) I should keep that in mind if ever see you playing a video game then.. (^_^") Rare... I guess.. similar to games changing from the usual graphics and satisfaction of merely playing the game, our priorities and interests also change. Was really more into Pacman game though.. (^_^ ) but space invaders really seem to gather more recognition, especially at the place were it originated.

To tell you the truth... i was never good at space invaders... no matter how hard i try... unlike the other games where i believe i can even go in tournaments... but never had the chance to... Right now... i prefer word games... like scrabble, crossword puzzles, word maze... kinda old... but then... that i how i was able to improve my choice of English word... which was quite poor in the past...

Scrabble, I am really not good on making moves to improve my score count.. tried a friendly match with a classmate of mine before but, after that, competing didn't seemed like a good idea... (^_^ ) Other word games like those crossword puzzles.. I really can't get one done at all.. I could go with the Word Factory or I know more called as Boggle..

I don't mind either way. My brother and I often watch each other play games at home because we often continue where the other left off and it's very confusing when you don't know where in the gameplay/story you already are on the chance you miss something. Like, I remember when I was playing a Wild Arms series. I toured the whole dungeon (it wasn't really a dungeon in the sense of the word; just a general term for a play you need to explore for Plot Purposes) repeatedly because I needed to open the door that would continue the story and NOTHING WORKS. I was stuck and I was getting frustrated and I tried EVERYTHING. Later, when my brother came home and I complained to him, he told me he'd already finished said dungeon and the door I wanted to open so badly had already been opened. Can you understand my pain? _

Final Fantasy X-2 - One of the games my sister played on our PS2 and surprisingly, she never did finish the game even though she seemed to have already in her possession each charater's strongest dress spheres.

There was this mini-game in that title that got me frustrated just by looking at her try and try. A shooting game wherein Yuna had to hunt for monsters while there was a time limit and she had could switch her ammo from single to dual shots or a strong one that I couldn't recall.

The first official sequel to an existing Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy X-2 continues the story of Yuna as she and two female companions set off on a combat-filled adventure to rescue hero Tidus from captivity. Taking place two years after Yuna's epic battle with Sin, the game also stars Riku and a new character named Paine. Once again actresses Hedy Burress and Tara Strong reprise their roles as Yuna and Riku, respectively, and are joined by Gwendoline Yeo as the voice of Paine. While many of the settings will be familiar to Final Fantasy X players, albeit expanded upon in certain areas, a number of changes have been made to the core game engine.

The Sphere Grid used to build a character's class has been replaced with a job system that has characters instantly switching between roles during battle. Jobs are represented by costumes, with each transformation influencing a character's hit points and abilities. Yuna, no longer aided by the powerful spirits known as Aeons, has learned the fine art of pop singing, which can lull enemies into a daze long enough for others to attack. The turn-based battle system used in Final Fantasy X has also been dropped in favor of "Active Time Battle" found in previous installments. The game's structure has changed as well, with players being given a series of missions to undertake in any order instead of following a scripted path towards the conclusion. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
I know how you feel, that's one of the reasons why I don't like to play a similar game that my other brothers are already playing. Knowing more than the other of what one has already gone over through the game. I don't know, I kind'a want to know more about the game that I am playing by myself than being told by someone who already played the game before. That's why some of the games I play aren't around what my brother's interests, which is often survival horror. They often like action/adventure. We also play RPGs but, still on separate game titles. I use to go to arcades at malls when my classes at school are still some hours away from starting. See groups of guys around some latest fighting game and of course, some very good gamer is playing either against the computer or with another good gamer. It would often discourage me to challenge them in a game since they seem to have spent more time here than I could and challenging them would just be wasting money on buying tokens as well as insisting on futile hope of enjoying a game when more better gamers are present and just juggle you through out the whole game. I use to do that when my sister plays but, some of the games that she plays are rather easy on my end, I do get frustrated when I see her fail a couple of times and I would just try it out myself and have her through the level in one go, of course, seeing her how she failed a couple of times before would make one think of ways to avoid those pit falls that she had made me witness through her attempts earlier.

Luxor Wrath of Set - Luxor: The Wrath of Set takes players into ancient Egypt where they team up with a magical scarab beetle to shoot and destroy approaching spheres by matching them into groups of three. Stop all the spheres before they reach the pyramid or the game is over. Gamers may attempt to complete 124 levels in 20 stages by matching the spheres and collecting power-ups including fireballs and lighting bolts to increase the overall score. Players can also select from three different modes of play. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

I prefer playing alone, but I don't really mind playing with a few close friends, because we can joke about it. I don't like when a lot of people I don't know are watching me play, because if I make a mistake they're more likely to react to it in a, "Pffft, she doesn't know anything"-way. =P For me, it also depends on the game. If I'm good at it, I'm more likely to be more comfortable in letting other people watch, of course, and if I'm bad at it, I'm more likely to refuse or be hesitant. I like watching other people play more though because it's interesting to see what they do and how they think. xD If this is a game that I'm not particularly good at, I can learn from it and improve by watching. However, even if I don't know the gamer, I don't react in a rude or mean way, because it's this attitude that bothers me when I let other people watch me.

Tekken 6 - Tekken 6 is the installment of Namco's Tekken series, which was released in Winter 2007.
Thanks for giving different point of views and preferences when it comes to gaming, being watched as well as watcing. Indeed, if its some game that we really know well on playing, we feel more confident and even show off while others are watching. I sometimes get to do that with friends of mine though, we often play fighthing games so showing off could either trouble them or impress them.. (^_^") If its a game that I really don't know much, jokes too could come from close people I know who are watching. Like on the game that I mention in my initial post, a brother of mine is really more into the game and whenever I play it with him around, he'd even tell if its right to strike or I should just wait for a few moments more.. (^_^") kind'a like getting told that 'you don't know what your doing' and 'let me play'.. but, the points and suggestion still get me through the stages in the game.. Sometimes, I get more impressed when I watch other gamers play, mostly at arcades since they could often do things that I'd really have a hard time on trying. Sometimes, groups of guys would be around and they would be watching gamers playing that Tekken 6 fighting game.. sometimes they aren't really fighting but the competitors are actually friends with each other, trying to teach each other on moves and combos.. 'way to show-off at public' I'd think at the back of my mind.. of course, I agree that we learn while we watch too.

Hi ratyz. Actually we don't often play video games, especially those complicated on-lime games. When I am playing it at weekends, I like to play it in my room without being watch, heehee. If someone is watching me, I will feel stressfula and can't play my normal level, haha, attention distracted very easily, especially with those guy talking about how should I play it. But for those strategy games, it's ok and I like to play it with my a friend or two. Ppl's thinking mode is different and they can come out a good point. It's great to have fun together.

What types of games would you prefer playing all by yourself then? I mean, I know some games only have single players, mostly on role playing games.. but, if its online, you'd be playing with other gamers as well, right? I also agree on strategy, even those who are watching could share their tactical thinking while watching one play which kind'a makes it a group effort (^_^ ) Thanks for posting!

for me it depends on the game actually. if the game is racing game or first person shooting game, then i don't like being watched. it take the concentration away from the screen and you will make some mistake. more over you will have feeling like some is watching you. but where as if you are playing a strategy game, you can relax a bit and you can have nice talk with too.

I guess it is indeed distracting, games that require your full attention, mostly on point of views that gets the gamer enthralled. Some of those who watch gamers play, I often encounter at shops the let you play games for a fee, would commentate on how one plays and sometimes, it does get annoying (^_^") they sound like know-it-alls.. Thanks for sharing (^_^ )
