The Exilim Z1200? Small, compact enough to go anywhere and it has face recognition. It also shoots 3 frames per second, which is handy. I think its only real drawback compared with similar cameras is that it has no viewfinder, which is a pain in bright lignt (you can't see the screen).

A viewfinder is the little lens yoou put your eye to to compose the picture. Your camera does not have one; instead, you compose your picture on a screen on the back of the camera. That is convenient and popular, but in bright conditions, it is very hard to see what is on the screen. They also use a lot of battery power, and only the most expensive ones let you judge depth of field, or refresh fast enough to be useful for fast-moving subjects.
