My shelf fell twice

A week ago a bookshelf fell on my laptop. I called the furniture company concerned. Anyway they gave me an appointment to fix it today. After one hour that the workers left and that they fixed it, I started to put my books back to their place. It fell off once again. Do you think I am so unlucky?

If they supposedly fixed the shelf and this happened
again I'd be calling them back to have them fix it AGAIN.

I would call the people back and then have them see what they can do to solve the problem. And I wouldn't let them leave until my books were up and the shelf tested..

U are not unlucky, rather, it's bad workmanship from that furniture company.. Or maybe, they are just out to cheat your money, by making the whole shelf vulnerable, so that they can keep earning from u.. haha ^_^
I guess the best option will be changing the whole shelf, for it's not worth the risk of paying, as well as the safety of u and your family members ^_^

Well ronald to me it wouldn't seem unlucky it could mean someone is trying to tell you something especially as it is your bookcase everytime..yet there again it may mean the bookcase has too many books in it, so don't think you are unlucky also make sure it is also balnced..thebookcase that is!! littleowl

I think you should not buy anything else from that company! Their things are inferior if they can fix them and they do the same things. If it's falling forward, you might want to put a small piece of wood (shim) under the front on either side so that it leans back and won't fall forward.

No, I don't think you are unlucky. I do however think the workers should of tested your self for the weight of the books before they left. Now you get to call them back and re do it. But please have them test the bookself first.

I think that they did not do their job the right way if you are continuing to have this problem. I hope you moved your laptop out of the way of the shelf, if it is going to keep on falling down.

I don't know about lucky, but you should be annoyed. The workmanship is obviousely not up yo scratch. I would want my money back.

Ha!ha!ha! You are not unlucky my dear! It is just that you need to buy a new one. That shelf is already too weak and fixing it again perhaps is not wise to do anymore. Go and buy and new one and make sure it is a stronger one.

I guess you have been a bit unlucky but I would say that the furniture company would be the unlucky people because if it were me I would be on their case shouting down the phone at them to come and fix it and also give them the bill to fix my laptop!! LOL

Yeah, thats bad....maybe the books are too heavy for it, or they didn't fix it like they were supposed to, I would find out, especially after its already broke your laptop. Yeah, I'm not so lucky myself, and it would happen to me...lol.

I do not believe luck, good or bad, but I do believe you have a poorly designed shelf!!! LOL
I hope that the laptop is okay. Maybe you should put a helmet on it!!

I'm so sorry for your unfortunate incident, hon. I wouldn't say you are unlucky because that can happen to anyone. Believe me, I've had more than my share of unfortunate incidences! LOL!
