Why does everybody want something for nothing?

It seems to be the predominate attitude this day and age. Give me a great product and service but don't expect me to pay for it. My grandfather always said "you get what you pay for" well nowadays people want what they don't pay for. I am so sick of it. I like a bargain like the next person but I won't scre* someone over for it.
I am so tired of the lousy economy making it next to impossible for me to make a living or even get a break every once in awhile.
Anybody else feel this way?

It is really had to make a living these days and now with the holidays it is even harder. I am doing what I can to cut back but it never seems like we have enough money at the end of the month before the next paycheck. Good luck my friend.

as an artist people always expect me to design a tattoo, or paint a landscape, did i pay for four years of college to get a bachelors in fine arts to work for free?

I see this all the time with the musicians I help, they spend months at a time making great music and writing fantastic songs but they can't sell it because people wnat to be able to download it for free, well these musicians have families to feed and if people only knew what beautifil music that they are missing out on, sitting on shelves because the musicians can't afford to actually record them..I have CD's of never released music that I know should be out there but will never be because no one is willing to pay..sad really...

I can't figure this out myself and it bugs me. I hate hearing people complain about their schools and how schools are doing so bad but they refuse to pay any extra taxes to make sure their schools are in top shape for their children. They hate how their roads aren't fixed or in great shape but won't pay a fee to get great roads. They complain about it but refuse to pay. If you want something, you have to pay for it.
