This is how the TARP, aka, the "bailout" has been described in an article in cnbc. Sounds pretty acruate to me. Most by now, reguardless of party offiliation, realize that this was a sham, a power grab and a bungling reactive effort to rescue the economy that so far, has done far more to damage and shake confidence than it has to rescue or bail out anything. The article starts like this:
"Slush fund" ... "banana republic" ... "Keystone Kops."
That's how some observers are describing the government's effort to stabilize the financial system, including its centerpiece rescue mechanism, known as the TARP

To say this bail out has been mishandled is an understatement. Not that I agree with the bail outs at all. But it definately shows you how capable our government is at doing things......they aren't.
They are reactive instead of proactive, and when they finally get around to doing something it is usually mismanaged and hurts things instead of helping. Do these people have any idea what htey are doing? I do not think so. They are using the old addage of if you have a problem just throw money at it and hope it goes away instead of actually solving the problem. Look were that has gotten us.

It has done nothing but getis in deeper. The dow has consistantly gone down nearly every day since the passing. They are shooting darts in the dark and they are not even hitting the right wall, let alone the target. It's all smoke and mirrors, if people figured out what the deeper purpose was 'en mass, they would be screaming for their heads.

yep but they listen the media and they tell them the bail outs will solve all their problems and is the way to go. So if the government and the press say it is the right thing to do than it is the right thing to do. Heaven forbid they look into it and think for themselves.
