I thought it was someone else

Have you ever been watching a movie and think you know who the actor is, only to discover it was actually someone else? There was a movie I watched from 1990, Night Breed by Clive Barker, and I would have sworn it was a very young David Boreanaz that played the main character. As many of you know, David Boreanaz plays Booth in Bones and Angel from Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Come to find out, it wasn't David afterall. After doing several searches to try to remember the name of the movie Night Breed, I found out it's actually Craig Sheffer that played the lead. After figuring out who actually played the part, I really had to search thru the pictures of Craig Sheffer to see if my memory of that movie was SO off that I mistook him for David Boreanaz. This it one of the best pictures I was able to find: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2915080704/nm0001729 and would like your opinion. Don't you think they look a lot alike?

Getting an actor wrong is not so bad as getting real people wrong. We have a couple of parishioners at our church who look very similar (2 different sets actually). With both sets I have been mistaken. I talked to Rita as if she was Jeannette, and this week I pointed out a woman who looked like someone our priest was looking for to be at mass. In actuality the only similarity is the colour of their hair! I've had a look-alike myself. When I was in grade school there was a girl in my class who people thought looked a lot like me. I didn't see the resemblence and still don't. I was stopped in the hall by the principal one day and he spoke to me as if I was that girl. When my dad passed away two years ago her sister attended the viewing/wake and she said we still look alike. I just didn't see it. Getting actors wrong only causes real problems when it becomes a disagreement with another person and then you end out having to eat crow.

Nah... similar, but not "a lot alike".
