Women: What do you do when having dysmenorea?

hi women, i dont know if this question was being posted here! what do you do when having dysmenorea? please share some pain reliever tips when having your monthly period. thanks

Prescription: 2 advil or aleve capsules. A hot water bottle on your stomach to relieve nasty cramps until the medicine kicks in. Cry if you want to. Watch a funny movie to feel better and to forget the pain in your back. Comfort food and don't forget the chocolate.

thank you krissy for your prescription but i do have allergy with advil so if there would be a medicine that will kill me that is advil.

I don't know what everyone in the world is allergic to as I am not a doctor. You could always try Midol or Pamprin instead of advil. There are a about gazillion products that are available over the counter.

Avoiding salt for 7-10 days before period is due is a big help. Be aware of cheese,snack foods and lunch meats which all contain lots of sodium.Fluid retention is the cause of the problem.
