Well lit? or slightly dark room?

A well lit room looks so inviting. It makes things look a little bit more blissful. However, too much light can strain our eyes, since they're always exposed to great amount of lighting, giving their pupils little time to dilate. A slightly dim room offers a resting mood thus causing a little strain and minimum stress. There are times though, when we tend to be a little lazy due to the diminished amount of stimuli. If given a chance though, I'd rather choose a room that is not so bright, over the well lit one. How about you?

I agree, I prefer the dimmer room to the brightly lite one. A brightly lite one seems to give me headaches. Although they do seem to keep you bright eyed and bushy tailed more then the dim room which relaxes me and I feel sleepy even though I am not tired. I believe we would get more done in a brightly lite room though sense it gives off more of a energy feel.

The choice of light would depend on the room and the mood. If its a living room with a lot of bright attractive objects attorning the room then i would go with bright lights.
For a room meant for relaxation i would choose the dimly lit option.
