Its annoying isnt it ,you just finished writing a gem and you are about to post and blaps!!! it disappears before your eye ,you scream nooooooooooo and frantically start pressing the back arrow but it only takes you to the previous discussion you sent. And of course here on mylot there is no facility for recovery and being a sub 500 poster ,no facility for copy and paste not that it would help you if you didnt first write it in word.
How do you feel when that happens ,do you try to rewrite it or let bygones be bygones and then spend your time wondering how good that discussion could have been.Is it ever possible to recapture the essence of the original discussion.

Was there and been there, not to mention many times already.
When I am still way our from reaching 500 post I highlight it and used copy and if it disappear then I'll paste it in word document or you can use the notepad as well. In that situation, I could rewrite the same mind set that I have but this didn't came out handy. I have to suffer the same agony as you do before because there are also times that I forgot to do it and it would be a hassle to just keep on doing it all the time. So, from time to time I am still afflicted with this circumstances.

Maddening!!! It used to happen to me when I was still using a dial-up connection and it would often drop the connection just at the wrong moment.
It forced me to write first in Notepad and then go online and type it in (before I could paste) because it at least saved me the 'thinking time' put into my discussions.
It also allowed me to compose answers to several threads at once while offline and so saved on my telephone bills.
