Silver Lining

This is the poem i wrote last march 6 1997. This has been enclosed to our wedding invitations when I got married:
My life yesterday...
Loneliness creeping through my veins
agony gnashing my bones
pain striking my soul
bitterness engulfing me
but
you
were
there...
My life today...
like a silver lining in the sky
shining beneath the clouds
you stand by me in my anguish
brightening the cold dark nights
like a silver lining in the heavens...
making me smile with your caress
you helped me shoulder the burdens
shunning away a world of emptiness
here's to thank you
for looking over me
for reaching a hand
for being...
the silver lining in my life

personally i believe that your poem is very romantic..your thoughts upon your husband is very aspiring, i'm sure your husband had been very inspired with your poem before your marriage..

wow, thanks for the response. this kind motivates me to continue my passion for writing.
i would like to think that my husband was very inspired as i am to him. we will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary next year - apr. 17!
