The school students are having a Christmas program, and our church is having a Christmas concert. I might not be doing a solo this year, and with my luck, they will probably be recording the concert and selling Cds. I have not have much time for practice.

Maybe you can sit just back and enjoy this year if you are not able to sing in the event.

As always our church is doing the largest Singing Christmas Tree in the South......Bellevue Bpst Church....Memphis, TN. It is spectacular. The angel of the Lord comes flying down and back up again the an audience of thousands.

That's an awesome tradition. If I get up that way maybe I'll stop by and take a look.

most of the time, my church has a christmas program with skits and performances. there was even one year where we even came up with a musical for christmas.
this year however, my church will have a less elaborate program because we will be doing a christmas at home program called "Matthew and Friends", where we will invite our friends to our houses for a small party, and screen a dvd about the meaning of christmas. it's meant as an evangelistic meeting.

That's a wonderful idea, reaching out to the community with a Christmas party. Our church has kids this year and it has been only older people attending there since the 1980's. All the older members are real excited about the kids doing doing a Christmas program.
