I wonder why?

I have a dial up connection. The speed in every dial varied. But when I got a very low bytes I kept on clicking on the monitor icon or the network icon on the lower right side of the pc and then the bytes kept going up. I don't know why is it? Because my pc is not touch screen.lol. But I saw the computer technician before who fixed my pc and I immitated him.lol.

i think you should go for new windows. it does not look like any kind of hardware problem .its just some kind of software problem or just use tune up utilities .
