Does it seem like the people you help the most.....

are the ones that when given the opportunity treat you the worst? Especially family members. I am just thinking about my family who I have helped so much over the years and now when I need them, it's like pulling teeth to get any of them to do anything for me. Or forget pulling teeth....they just don't do it. I couldn't even get a ride to the hospital when my daughter was ill. They now treat me like I am some poor beggar that just irritates them all the time. It's true I am going through a very tough time right now but I have always been very independent and took care of myself as well as other people. In fact, they still expect me to help them when they need it. Anyone else have relatives like these?

Well its the reality of life... we can not always expect people to do the same goodness as we did to them most specially our family. there were times also that I experienced the same situations as you were, but i don't mind if they will help in return or what but what matters to me is i was bale to help them God will do rest...that's my principle in life.

I understand what you are saying and most of the time that has been my philosophy also that I was glad to be able to help them. However, the help I need is vital and my young daughter is involved. They all tend to help each other and that is fine, I just don't understand why now I am excluded. For most of my life I have taken the high road and pretended that things did not bother me or that I was trusting God to take care of it, but now the human and authentic side of me has to say that I feel hurt by their actions. When you need help you should be able to go to your family and some level of expectation that they care enough about you that they would want to help especially if it is not taking them out of their way or even money out of their pocket. To see that they just don't care, whether I have done anything for them in the past or not makes it hard for me to see them as family.

yes i understand your feelings...well as i have said sometimes life is just like that... all you need to do now is to ask help from your closest friend , i know it is another burden to carry but since its for the sake of your child then ask help from them... God knows what to do with your family and HE sees everything we do... God bless you... :-)
