Here is another shot of some ice crystals on my office window at home. I love the way it sort of feels like art on the window. It is ever changing as the warmth of the suns rays beam down melting it and changing it's shape. Do you look upon ice crystals as a form of art on the windows at all?

Hi GRANDPA BOB,
Yes, that is another beautiful shot, it must be really cold there as we haven't got any ice crystals here yet.

I love the snow and cold here in Minnesota.
Without it this time of year doesn't seem right to me.
For it to be a true Holiday, I need snow on the ground at least.
Thanks also.

I also live in Minnesota and LOVE the snow. I am ok with the cold until it reaches below 0. I agree with you Grandpa Bob, the Holidays are NOT the same unless there is snow on the ground. My family and I were in Florida one year for Christmas and New Years and though we had fun, it definitely did not feel like Christmas.

I would never have known what that was unless you had told me. That really does look like art! It is nice that you have such an outlook that anything can be art. You see everything with a perspective of possibility! Thank you for sharing that, and the picture!

Yeah it isn't the same for me without snow on the ground for the Holidyas.
I lived in Florida one year and hated the Holidays with warmth and green ground.
Ugghhh!

Yes, we used to say that it was Jack Frost painting the windows...

Nature is God's canvas and He makes such lovely art! I haven't had the pleasure of frost on my windows yet this winter but it is so beautiful!

That looks so pretty! It's like a painting! The ice reminds me of brush strokes. If I saw something like that, I'd be tempted to add color to the window! Haha. Though it would probably make more sense to add color to the photograph using some sort of editing software!

Hey Granpa Bob! I'n really getting into these ice crystal
shots! They are really cool! This one in particular reminds
me of an underwater shot for some reason. You can see so many
different things when you keep looking at them. And to think
they are just ice crystals on the window that can change at
any moment! Very interesting! You could do a whole book on
this type of photography alone! I know that I am fascinated
by it for sure! My windows just fog up! But my bedroom windows
get thick cakes of ice on the inside of them. That's how cold
my bedroom gets! I wish I could take photos of them for the
Board of Health and Heating Department!

Yes, I would view ice crystals on a window as ever changing art work. Haven't had any of that yet this year. It's been cold, but not that cold yet.

I won't pretend that it makes me wish for winter (it's the first weekend of summer where I am), but it is pretty.
