Can I still respond to this one? :) The latest I know about biofuels.. Well. There's this discovery about a fungi found inside trees. It was found out that it can produce biodiesel. The fungus actually produced a new type of diesel. This discovery is very promising since it can be used as alternative to fossil fuels. My group mates and I are actually planning to work on something similar to this topic for our research. To find out more about this fuel you can visit. http://eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2008-11/msu-nto110308.php

Is it far different from what they call as Biogas. There is this new trend getting fuels from a certain plant that they say produces same quality as diesel fuel derived from oil. How it is different from Biofuels that you just defined.
