Im going on a cruise!!!!

I will be going to a cruise to Mexico in January. We had to pay a gas surcharge for our trip, but if the price/barrel stays under $70/day for the 30 days before our departure date we get our surcharge rates back! Does anyone know a website, or where I can go to check day to day the price/barrel. It needs to be a legitimate place, so I can prove it if need be. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Hi Jess its great New that u are going to long trip Hmmm, Gas Surcharge Reback. Nice idea well i am sure u can go to website of any Financial News and get the price of Gas, At the moment its at many Yrs Lowest, that is US$42/barrel I dont think itsa going to raise till even US$60/barrel in 2 month, though OPEC reduce the production Wish u all the Best

Thank you! I wont be too excited about this deal until the date of the cruise, but it would be nice to have that extra money in our account, so we can have some extra fun!

Yep, we are gettign the money back, and we will use it on the ship as a nice bonus to our trip!

Hopefully your still going on your cruise. You surely would not have to pay the surcharge now. Have a good time.

Contact your cruise line. I just got an email today from Online Vacation Center and apparently the Florida Attorney General got involved with the fuel surcharge issue and SOME of these are being eliminated. It varies by cruise line and when the trip was booked. Some of the lines are offering refunds and some are offering shipboard credits.

We just got an email and we were told that our surcharge will be refunded due to the decline of gas prices! I am so excited!!!!

LOL! well no, you cant go with me, BUT it was super cheap. My boyfriend and I are going on this 5 DAY CRUISE for less than $800!!! If you are close enough to drive (its a five hour drive for us) than you could rally afford to take a cruise b/c you don't have to worry about the cost of a flight! This will be the first time I ever go on a cruise as well, so I am very excited!!!
