I had the weirdest thing happen yesterday........

I went to run some errands. I realized I was nearly out of gas so I stopped off to get some at the neighborhood convenience store. I payed for $30 worth and went out to pump it. At $21.17 the machine stopped. I tried it again. It over flowed. Hey, the tank was full! I have a small tank. I just couldn't believe it! I looked up at the billboard and saw the price. I still can't believe it! It was $1.75 a gallon!! I hadn't even paid any attention. Anybody else getting some pleasant surprises prices wise?

First of all YAY for gasoline being much more reasonable in price. Crude oil closed at just over $49 USD per barrel last Friday. Bad for greedy oil tycoons, but good for the rest of the world. I did have a pleasant surprise this week. While working on my January budget, I realized I would have a tiny bit more to invest in myself for a few months via an IRA account. Yay!

Is there any way you can get help financially on other things and then that would help with the gas bill. Just a thought.

It is soooo nice to see the price under $2.00! It just went down to $1.89 here last night. Now if only my home heating bill would do the same!

It's nice that the prices are lower now because they were pretty high there, right? Well, now we will hope that they can stay low like that and that we can get on with using alternative energy. We were surprised that we filled both our cars completely for the price it cost a few months ago just to fill one car. Pablo

Imagine a couple months ago what you would have done if any of that gas missed going into your tank....one drop could feel like a week of groceries....oh the fluctuations!

Hi celticeagle, the differences in petrol prices are just a joke round here, ranging from the cheapest place up in town at .99 cents a litre, to 1.20 down in the village here. It's always the same so I always try to fill up around town rather than down here. It was great to see it actually go under the 1.euvo mark again though, and they clean the windows for you at that one as well.

I wish our gas would go down, our gas is so high and much higher than any county around us. everyone around us is at about 1.59 and ours is still 1.99/ It sucks.
