Let me say first I have no issues with the vast majority of police officers or departments and have a vast amount of respect for the law and those who uphold it.I know a good number of them and most are faithfull in serving their communities and do a dangerous, tiring, difficult and often thankless job. Now, that being said, there is always a bad apple or 2 to spoil the barrel. such as the Massachusits state trooper in recent news who demanded proof of pregnancy of a woman in labor, trying to get to the hospital. It is a shame because it takes legitimacy and trust away from the majority of the dedicated public servants risking their lives every day for us. Well, look out crooked cops. This story broke after the Odessa narcotics unit perportedly illegally compelled an informant to plant marijuana on Yolanda Madden and she was subsiquently charged with possesin with intent to distribute. The informant testified in federal court he planted the drugs on her and evena polygraph. Yolanda was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
