We give our presents one week in advance. WE put them under the christmas tree and everybody can have a guess what's inside the present. Then we open our gifts on Christmas Day. By the way your new aviator is going to drive men crazy! © ronaldinu 2008

Hi bomb, new avatar again? Yep christmas the busiest day in my calender. I dread the thought of having to fork out lots of money to buy gifts. But it is once in a year affair so never mind, just close one eye and indulge in shopping spree for christmas presents. I have around 40 nieces and nephews to distribute christmas presents every year. We normally give out the presents on the 25th december as it is where everyone gathers for the family reunion. Well, I love to see the kids happy faces receiving x'mas presents and it reminds me of my time where I received lots of those plastic dolls, remember it was popular in those days when barbie doll was not born yet.

We give out our Christmas presents on Christmas Day after we have breakfast. Then we all gather around the Christmas Tree and pass them out one at a time. When one person opens their gift, they get the next one for someone else. Then that person gets the next one and so on. We take our time and enjoy seeing what everyone got for each other. Then after the gifts are all open, we play games and have a good time.

Well, it depends. From friends I tend to give presents early and allow the kids to open on Christmas Eve. But from us, teh kids do not open til Christmas morning.

Hi Bomshell, Every other year we give presents on Christmas Day and every other year on Boxing Day as my children (well two oldest ones) alternate spending Christmas day with me one year and their dad the next. If it were at mine each year we would give on Christmas Day. Huggles. Ellie :D

Well it depends. The holiday itself is celebrated on the 25th, all day. The day before is Christmas eve and as a family we normally have a brunch on that day and we exchange and open some gifts, this is where extended family as well attends. There may also be some events that are done in the month of December that is in the realm of Christmas but not the actual day. For instance you may have a company party and gifts are exchanged and opened.
But traditionally Santa comes sometime in the wee hours of the morning on the 25th, so the little kids get to open the gifts that he left in the a.m.
