I'm poor, but I'm better off than some.

Fellow myLotter, photographygirl73, shared this information about how much money Michael Vick makes at his prison job with the myLot World a few days ago in her discussion on his sentencing. After I decided to figure out how much money I made in a week for my own knowledge, it occurred to me that I might make more money than Michael Vick does currently.
I just found out some depressing news. I worked over 45 hours on writing this week; I made a total of $12.97 for the week. That's approximately 28.5 cents an hour. I guess the term "starving artist" really does apply. Happily, at least I made more than Michael Vick, the dog fighting Atlanta Falcons quarterback, made from his jail cell. In 2006 he made nearly $15 million. Recently he reported total income of $12.89 for an entire month. He gets paid 12 cents an hour. And for the entire last month, according to the article I read last night, he recorded his income at $12.96. This means that I make approximately, at the moment, four times what Michael Vick does. Well, then, I'm not a dog-murdering animal cruelty person (who deserves to make 12 cents an hour), so I guess that can't be too good. It just amused me- the comparison, harmless, artistic me and creepy, dog murdering, quarterback make the same money. I guess there is a little justice in the world.

That is funny. Good he deserves to not make money and enjoy it. Although, I know he has investments that make more in interest in a month then we get paid. But that is besides the point. I hope he stays in jail for a while. I am tired of seeing all these celebrities getting over on illegal activities. If an average citizen does something wrong, they get slammed. If a celebrity does something, they get slapped on the wrist and the judge says get back to work winning games, making movies or singing songs.
Probaly not exactly that way, but I think you get my point. Celebrities are no better then the rest of us, they just get paid more.

I'm sure he has more time on his hands than must of us do. Whatever money he makes, though, I don't think he can even access, can he?
I don't make very much on here because I don't have the time to spend here. I haven't been on much lately at all. I have been getting ready for Christmas and some short story contests/anthology submissions. I really want to focus on writing to get published and make real money... more than the .01c an hour I make on here.

I have often wondered why rich people get in trouble doing crap like that when they have it made in life. Michael Vick made enough money in just a couple of years to life like a king the rest of his life, yet he gets arrested for dog-fighting? Of all the stupid things to get in trouble over. I guess when you don't have to worry about money, you get bored with all the free time you have when you don't have to work for a living, so you start looking for ways to occupy your time. I guess since they don't have financial troubles to deal with, the rich people have to create problems for themselves...
