I just weighed myself this morning and I have lost 100 lbs since my gastric bypass surgery in January! Wooohoooooo! I'm so happy. In actuality, I've lost 117 lbs total since June of 2007. I feel so much better now. I can actually go into a store and not have to go into the plus size section to look for clothes. I still have back problems and am looking at a couple of surgeries still. One to remove my broken tail bone, and another to take care of a bulging or possibly ruptured disc. I'm still waiting for my doctor to get me an appointment for an MRI to be sure if I need the surgeries or not. I'm still taking Vicodin for the pain because otherwise it's absolutely unbearable. And believe me I've tried to go without them, but I just can't do it. But other than that, I feel great. My energy is back up, and I can do a lot more than this time last year. I have 30 more pounds to go to reach my goal weight. It's a bit slow as I've hit one of those lovely plateaus, but I'm getting there.
I just want to give a great big thank you and lots of warm hugs to all my friends here that have supported me and been here for me through all of this. I couldn't have done it without all of your love and kindness.
So who else has reached a major goal of some kind lately? Any kind of goal...not just weight loss.
Big hugs to all......Carryl

Wow! {{Katlady2}} Congrats!!! That's amazing, one of my cousins had this done a year ago in Nov, and she has lost 167 lbs, ( the beast) yeah I'm jealous, envious,
I think I've gained all of her lost weight and just continue to gain and gain and
gain!! Its been a cycle my whole life; But I'm glad to hear you are doing so well
and I do wish you continued success;
When I was 21 I had my stomach stapled that lasted maybe 5-6 years before I started
gaining it all back, ( real life drama) sucks!
I can watch a commercial and gain 10 lbs. LOL!
I've had so many injuries and health issues since the (MVA) IN 1996 , tons of
trigger point injections/( steriods) yeah just what I need to gain more weight
one thing after another...
You'll have to share with us some before and after photo's I keep telling my
ding dong cousin that too but so far she's not emailed me any they were supposed
to have done that on Thanksgiving day but its now Dec 9th..DUH!!!
BUT CONGRATS TO YOU! I really do mean that!
its a hard road for any of us who deal with weight gain our whole lifes!!!

LOL! That's ok...I speak that language really well so I know what you meant. It's amazing how many things can manage to get in the way of our successes in life. I'm happy you're here with us hon. I've added my most recent photo that my son took of me the other day. The 'brooch' on my shoulder is actually his pet bearded dragon lizard, Gator. He makes a cute accessory, don't you think? LOL

Congratulations! You've done a marvelous thing and I bet that you almost have to run around in the shower to get wet! lol
Sorry about the cronic pain. Have you ever looked into acupuncture? It can be wonderful in helping to control it so that it is bearable, if not gone altogether.
Hope everything continues to go well, and that the rest of the issues get dealt with quickly, or become non-issues. Happy MyLotting!

I am absolutely ecstatic over it all. And yes, the lizard is tame. He belongs to my son and his name is Gator. I love him to pieces. Of course it wasn't love at first site because the first time I held him he peed all over me. Talk about a new way to get baptized! LOL

Hi Carryl,
Wow. That's really fantastic news. Good for you! I'm so happy to hear how well you're feeling now. I do hope you can get these other issues looked after, and then you'll be even better.
I do admire your courage, in going through with all of this.
Take care.
