voice recognition software and speech impairments

I am rather desperately trying to find voice recognition software that works with my speech impairment, before this writer's fingers give out. Has anyone had experience with this?

Have you ever tried vista's voice recognition program? You may have to correct some of it, but maybe it would be easier. I will see what I can find. I hate to ask, but how severe is it? I will check some of my son's magazines, as he is totally non-verbal and we get some adaptive magazines.

My speech is pretty involved. I have trouble on phones with people I don't know. But mostly if you pay attention, you can get what I'm saying.
