Okay people buy and give gift certificates for all kinds of reasons, and hopefully they are useful, but a gift certificate for an abortion?
Would you ever give one to someone?
How would you feel if you were pregnant and somebody gave you one?

No I would never give a gift certificate for an abortion I think they should rule abortion out in all states. I believe if you are going to lay down with someone and you get pregnant then you should have to carry that baby. Even if your raped I understand it would be hard to cope with, but the baby didn't due anything wrong if you don't want it. Give the baby to a loving family who will raise it right. Every child deserves a fighting chance in the world.

well that is your personal choice,
I don't think that I would want to die, and here in country, they save the mother before the baby and that is law.

what about people that are told if they carry the baby they WILL die and they also did everything they could to prevent the pregnancy??

I would be pissed if someone gave me one and me pregnant. It is crazy to give someone birth certificates for something that is so controversial. And I am sure that it might be protested against also. I heard that some can be used for healthcare. And that would be a big help. But a abortion is way to personal to get a certificate for.

Me personally, I would feel eternally grateful. I never wanted children and the person who would give me this gift certificate would be a true friend. But if the pregnant woman wanted her child, she shold be outraged with this " gift".

yes you would really have to know that this is something the pregnant woman wants.

I believe that is sinking to a new low.. I almost hate to respond to a discussion such as this one as there are so many differences on the opinion of abortion, but I do and I state my opinions.. I do not agree with abortion for any reason.. I think that is a ridiculous gift.. Others may not agree with me and that is fine, but I am completely 100% against abortion.. Every child has a right to life..

I wouldn't give that as a gift certificate simply because I don't believe in abortion. That to me is a unthinkable gift to give to a person.

I have not yet checked out the link, but surely, you have got to be kidding me. This is one of the sickest things I have ever heard. A gift certificate to murder your own baby. That is just gross. The person that would give me something like that would never see or hear from me again, that is for sure.

That is just sick. I would never even think of giving anyone a gift certificate for an abortion and the three times I was pregnant and if someone gave me one?!?!?! I would be so upset and mad. Sorry but to me an abortion is not birth control.

My gosh I find that quite disturbing. I would be utterily disgusted if someone gave me a gift certificate for that. I honestly have no idea what to say other than it is a horrbile gift to give.

Hi there,
I think this is totally wrong for so many reasons. They treat abortion as if it is nothing at all. It wouldn't be so bad if it just could be used for health visits and examinations and maybe birth control, but for abortions is just bad.
Have a great day!
Char

even though i am pro choice i just find this freaking tacky!! i can see helping out some one that couldnt afford one pay for one but to actually have a gift card made to present is just unbelievable.. thats all i can think to say lol..
and to have these to where people would be giving these to people that may not even be thinking that way is just so wrong!! i mean the teen could be happy or who ever could be happy and then have something actually written out saying to them they messed up and need to fix it just is so wrong!!

For a woman that truly wants one but can't afford it, I can see how it'd be a good thing. But to walk up to a pregnant woman and hand her a coupon for an abortion could be taken the wrong way. I for one would have been insulted if someone gave me one. But I've also got friends that have had abortions and would have loved to have gotten one rather than paid for their abortions. But to each, his own.

I would have been very insulted to get a gift card too, now if I asked a person for some money and they helped me out with this gift card, it comes out to the same thing, but would never have done that anyhow.

I believe the certificate could actually be used for any of the services offered by the center. If I knew specifically that a person wanted to have an abortion there is no way I would contribute to paying for it. I feel that is way too personal and that decision should be paid for by the individual. However if I knew a woman was not taking care of herself like she should and needed a check up I would offer in a second to pay for the service as a gift to her.

I would be more comfortable paying for her check up in a regular hospital rather than an abortion center.
