Yes, you read that right. Last night when I went to bed, I don't think I had a splinter in the crease of my thumb, but this morning when I woke up I sure did! And it HURT!!! Now, how could I have gotten a splinter while I was asleep???
I even tried to think of how I could have gotten it yesterday and just didn't notice it until this morning - although I could feel it every time I bent my thumb this morning I don't know how I coulda missed it yesterday. I was at home all day and most of our furniture is laminate. I am totally at a loss here how I got this splinter. I am definitely glad it's out now though!

It sounds like you got the slinter yesterday. It sometimes take a while for them to start hurting, especially if they are small ones. It will get nifected if you don't get it out. I don't know where the tiniest sliver of glass came from on my floor the other night but I stepped on it. I had not broken anything but there it was. I got it out right away.

I'm sure I did get it somehow yesterday, but I really have no clue how. It seems to hurt worse now, but I know that'll go away quicker than if it had gotten infected.

Alot of times a splinter is driven into the finger and after awhile it is drawn out alittle. I am thinking you got the splinter a day or so before and it was driven in. Drawn outward, for several reasons, you didn't feel it until this happened. Splinters can be nasty.

I'm really glad I got it out though because I'd hate to have it get infected!
