Armageddon 2008

I actually will not be watching Armageddon on PPV because of the costs. I know that as a wrestling fan I do try to watch as much as possible, but with the state of the economy I can not afford to high price for that entertainment. If I was able to watch I would be looking forward to the triple threat match because it I think will have the most action. The best match though for technical skill will probably be Mysterio and Punk. Hopefully Armageddon lives up to the hype that it has been recieving the past couple of weeks!

hi vince. i was able to watch armageddon and i must say that it is one of the better ppv's that wwe had for the year. almost all the matches mattered, from a fan's perspective as well from a storyline perspective. here's my breakdown of the matches: 1. kozlov defeats matt hardy (non-title match) big win for the moscow mauler. i think kozlov is being lined up to be an ecw champion and i do think that his style is good for ecw. that brand is sorely lacking in talent and kozlov is a good addition. i do like to see hardy hold onto the tile much longer since both him and brother jeff are champions now. nice to see gold around the waists of these brothers who have given so much of themselves to the fans. 2. punk defeats mysterio (#1 contenders match for the ic title) wasn't able to watch this one but i heard that cm punk won over mysterio. i think it made sense that punk will go up against regal. size wise, i think that is a more acceptable story line than having mysterio go up against regal. after all, regla and punk did have met at the king of the ring and they had a running feud after that tournament. 3. divas match (8-man tag team match) nothing spectacular but definitely great eye candy for the fans. i really think michelle and kelly are the hottest divas around!!! 4. batista defeats orton one of the better matches in the ppv. i think this is a good feud and this one will go on until wrestlemania. it's even steven for both wrestlers with orton winning last survivor series and batista winning tonight. i hope these two clash again at royal rumble. i wouldn't be surprised if they have another match at royal rumble but i'd like to see them go at it preferably for a major title. a side note, i really like the storyline involving orton, cody rhodes, and manu. i hope they become some sort of evolution and i do hope ted dibiase jr. joins the three. i know he was with rhodes and manu before until orton punts him in the head but a lot can be done with this storyline and i hope wwe creative doesn't mess this up. 5. finlay defeats mark henry not really surprised with the result here. going back to kozlov, i'd love to see kozlov go toe to toe against mark henry and finlay. i hoep wwe creative sees the potential in these matches. 6. john cena defeats chris jericho (world heavyweight title) john cena retains the title when he forces jericho to tap out with the stfu. a good match with near falls and reversals. i really don't think that cena will lose the title so soon. honestly, i'm already tired of this feud and it'll be nice to see these two wrestlers battle other wrestlers as well. jericho is a great heel and i know this is quite improbable but i'd like to see him go up against another good heel like edge or randy orton. as for cena, well cena is cena and whatever he does is good for the wwe as he is one of the biggest fan favorites i've seen in a long time. 7. jeff hardy defeats hhh and edge (new wwe champion) one of the biggest matches of jeff hardy. i'm happy for the guy that he becomes champion now. i do hope he holds onto the title for a long time and i do hope that he stays away from trouble while he has the belt. i'd like to see the hardy boys team up again since both are champions. what comes to mind is a title for title match against the new tag team champions, the miz and john morrison. winner takes all. of course, wwe creative will have to come up with a good and believable storyline for this to happen but it'll be great to see it. anyway, armageddon 08 is a good ppv over-all. the matches were great and hopefully wwe can build up on these storyline for a better 2009. cheers!!!
