Strange incident and I feel really SAD

Just now something rather awkward happened in my sweet home - a friendly debate was going on regarding a family tour. It was full of fun until some of our relatives lost their temper and started shouting. It did not last for more than few minutes but it was very unusual. Matter of fact is that we are very much peaceful and we do not like to quarrel at all. When it comes to arrive at a decision, we dispose of the matter by undertaking friendly discussions. But this incident is so shocking and unusual. I'm still confused to figure out what has happened. Also some words must have shocked some of our family members. I thought that I should speak out loud as well but then I decided to keep silent. And now I'm feeling sad for all this. I just can't focus at my routine work.

Not liking to quarrel. Who does? I think on a rare occasion emotions, tempers and negativity all come together to make such a situation raise it's ugly head. It may be rare but may be a good thing in that it lets loose some emotion that, perhaps, has been hidden for a time. The human psyche is a complex work and things just happen that can't be explained. I do believe that it is better to be honest and let lose these feelings that to keep them pent up and hidden.

This happens even to those with closest family ties. But this does not mean to say that it is irreparable. These are events that make family relationships even stronger, because it will demonstrate that even if you do have differences, you would always come back together and remain intact. Don't worry blood would be thicker than water. Everything will turn out well. If nothing happens then you could serve as the bridge towards reconciliation. Good luck and Happy holidays.

Hats off to you for your valued suggestion. I'll try to settle this issue before the Christmas day as the cold war is still on.

Hello nilzerour. Sometimes it happens when it comes to the agreement of a decision. There have been a few times in my parents-in-law's house, where the wife of my brother-in-law's started it and ended with it in a very rude way that none of us likes her any more. Happy New Year to you, friend.
