"Bootcut" or "skinny" jeans?

Do you think that skinny jeans are still more 'in' than bootcut jeans? When do you think the skinny jean trend will die out - or do you think it is a new classic style which is here to stay? I like skinny jeans - they look great with boots but sometimes I feel a bit more 'grown-up' in a bootcut style!

I don't care what's "in"
Very few people look good in skinny jeans. they make peoples legs look really emaciated, and tapered like a parsnip.
bootcuts are much more flattering, on every shape and size.
(I don't get why people say skinny jeans only look good on skinny people. this is FAR from true. skinny people in skinny jeans look like they have matchsticks for legs. it's NOT a good look. you need really shapely muscular, slightly bulky legs to look good in them, and very few people are the right shape for them)

I feel, it all depends on the structure of a person. I personally like skinny jeans but boot cut suits me better because I am not that tall and but plumpish. Bootcut does great job in camouflaging. Skinny jeans look great if you have a great figure and tall.

I like the skinny jeans...but on other people. I find them sexier but I don't wear them because I just don't feel comfortable with them. I guess I am just so used to bootcut jeans that I am not willing to exert effort to try newer or other styles.

Like them both too. I'm more comfortable in bootcut but the skinny jeans do look better with my boots. Skinny jeans have been around since the 80's. It's like a whole style rewind...boot cut in the 70's...skinny jeans in the 80's.I guess they would both be considered classic.

jeans are more casual and they look attractive over high heeled shoed. And I dont care whether they are in or not too much.

My thighs are too big to really embrace the skinny jeans style I have to wear boot cut jeans or I just look fat. The waist on skinny jeans seems to be lower as well which isn't too flattering on everybody.

Skinny jeans might be more 'in' but that doesn't make me like them anymore than bootcuts. Bootcuts flatter my body shape better, and in fact, there are very few people that I have seen who can carry off the skinny jean look. A lot of people try and fail.

HI UK_shree. When I was in the Philippines, all my jeans are bootcut style. I love wearing it specially when Im on my high heeled shoes. But when I arrived here in Denmark I have to change my jeans style. Almost all my jeans now are fitted skinny jeans since its very convenient and comfortable with boots especially during winter season. I think skinny jeans will not die out though there maybe some alterations with it to suit more with the lifestyle and likes of the market. Happy mylotting!

Skinny jeans are definitely still "in", I'm just not sure if it'll stick. What's wrong with it is that it sometimes prove to be so uncomfortable especially if you're a bit round shaped like me. And to think that I ride the bus for more than a couple of hours sometimes, that's when I tend to wear more comfortable clothes. For the style that'll stick for a long long time, I think that'll be straight cut jeans. They can look hip and classy at the same time - it just depends on how well it was fitted :D
Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

yes, i tend to choose clothings that don't compromise my comfort. And because I don't get to be updated with fashion too, and I barely have extra money for clothing, I choose the ones which go with whatever fashion era. Something that doesn't run our of popularity

I prefer skinny jeans and always have. It's really nice there is a choice at the moment as it used to be one style or the other I hated it when it was the baggy jeans as no one looks good in them. I do wear boot cut when I've got boots on and don't want to mess about tucking them in.
