What are unique ideas for stocking stuffers?

I have no tips or ideas but seeing this all of a sudden reminded me that each year we would always get a "book" of life savers candy for our kids. I am not even sure if they still have them in the book. Since I don't look for them I don't know if they still have them.

My son is a paperboy and he delivers in the cold. I gave him a little hand warmer pack to slip in his gloves. We never really did the stocking thing. I just never grew up doing this as a tradition. Last year after Christmas, I picked up some stockings really cheap and we dedided to start the tradition this year. The kids are excited!

My stocking stuffers include gift cards to Subway....gas cards to a convience store local here....and lottery tickets for the older kids....but otherwise their stuffed with little things like a pair of socks..mini flashlights.....tape measures for the guys....not real surprising things but little things they like!
