Purchasing a wireless printer

well since its a wireless printer u can place it anywhere my cousins have theirs in a closet on a shelf

Hey there. Well, when we first got ours a few years ago, I was absolutely clueless about them and thought I could put it wherever I wanted since it was "wireless." Come to find out, it has to be directly connected, with a wire, I might add, to the modem or router or whatever you call it where your internet connection comes in. So, that's what determines where it goes, at least at my house. I was bummed out as the wireless printer was "my" (not my husband's) new printer, but it has to be in my husband's study as that's where the internet connection comes in. Good luck and take care.

I have my printer on my desk along with my other things that I need for computer use. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse to use though and I can use them from anywhere in the house, that I can still read the computer screen. My desk and printer is in my dining are which is informal also.

Hmm... this would really depend on your usage and the layout of your home. No? How would asking us on the forum help you in your decision on where to put your printer? If both of you cannot come to a compromise, then put off the purchase till you can. The other way is to set it up where ever it is convenient to the person who will be using it most.
