I forget all the time i've lost weight and that i'm skinny now. a couple of days ago while i was out shopping around.. i was in the clothing area and walked pass a mirror and i had to take one step back and re-look at myself in the mirror. I was like "dang! that's ME!?" lol I lost 100lbs so it's a big noticeable difference... but even though I "KNOW" i am skinny now ( 5'8" and 150lbs ) i still always forget and i even feel the same kind of.. i'm a super shy person and one of the reasons i'm shy was because i used to be big but now i'm not but i stll feel like when people look at me that's who they see..the fat me.. not the skinny me... it's weird...and i wonder if that's normal? do you ever forget that you've lost weight?

I sure wish I had that problem. I don't have any trouble remembering when I have gained weight though. My back and my feet tell me all about it.

im 5'2 and used to be 153 lbs 3 yrs ago. i got sick with H-pylori and went down to 110 lbs. im back up to 130, but still just barely used to the new weight. so, yes i sometimes do forget.

wow...you actually forget you have lost weight huh....thats cool.... well it happened with me once.... i wasnt paying much attention to my weight and figure at that time..... and mind you i am or never was on the skinny side ever.... but i did one day realise that i had lost good amount of weight and realised a lot later cos i never used to really bother to look at my self in the mirror..... now that i have started looking in the mirror ...... i realise that i am putting on more and more weight rather than losing weight..... :(

I don't have that problem, I'm still fat, but i understand this is common. It seems we get an image in our minds of how we look and it's hard to let go of it. Look at yourself as often as you want and enjoy the new you. Happy Holidays
