crap.
So my mom got me a laptop for christmas. I'm using the internet at a sports dome right now because I don't have internet at home, and they have wireless.
It's so sick, but I hate this whole mouse thing 'cause it's retarded. I wanna get a real mouse. :(
How about the rest? real mouse or little mouse pad thinger.

Generally we dislike things which we are not familiar with. It took me a few hours to familiarise with the mouse pad. I think it has something to do with how we see and accept new things. My young kids took less time to become 'experts'. They had no preset ideas on how things should be, making them approach the new things with an open heart and mind.
all the best,

I really miss my laptop, we sold it when we got a new desktop. I always used a regular mouse and keyboard, I just plugged them into the ubs ports. Unless I was away from home. I hated the touch pad and the keyboard on the laptop, I always ended up doing something I didn't want to do, like erasing typing. An optical mouse if fairly cheap and easy to carry around with the laptop.

Oh I really feel to smash laptops because of that stupid touch pad. I agree with you. But you can get a mouse for your laptop and hook it up to your USB drive. I saw my teacher with one of those so it's not all bad. At least it's portable.

Never mind, before things get familiarized to you, of course you hate it. But once you get used to it, some more added with love element in it, I think you'll not leave home without that thing. No matter what, after dark cloud there will be silver lining. Go girl...go...seems nature is supporting you now...proven...you got it FREE!!!

I didn't know laptops have 2 horns? Hahaha
Ok ok, jokes aside. Definitely a mouse would have more maneuverability compared to the touch pad. But why get so uptight about it? Look on the bright side - at least you have a laptop compared to those who have not even the chance to even try out a computer, less mentioning about owning one?

When I first got my laptop I hated the little finger pad, too, and actually bought a wireless mouse for it...but still haven't opened the package. The more you use your laptop the more you will get used to using your finger as a mouse and it'll get easier. I don't know how well it works with games...I don't play any online games...but you can always get a mouse for it.

I don't think they are and the "little mouse pad thinger" is not so bad. Get you a mouse if you want. You should be happy your mom bought your laptop. I had to buy my own.

I can't understand the reasoning behind your ranting. If you said laptops are nonsense, then get a desktop and carry it to that sports dome to use the Internet. Laptops are crap after all and it should be better to have a normal PC around. As for the little mouse pad, it's called a touch pad and people have been using it for years without a problem.
