i donno much about it but i wanna know that what's the difference. i think calzones dont have sauce in them but sometimes have sauce on top of them. the main ingredient is ricotta cheese, parmesan and mozerella and lots of it. i suppose.
whereas a Stromboli, as far as i know about it, is named after a volcano, is cut open so that the stuffing spills and melt over like a lava.
the calzone seems more like a turnover and the stromboli, for lack of a better description , seems more like a larger version of a hot pocket.
whatever, i donno much about stromboli, i know a little about them. what all do you people think .

Every calzone I have ever had was basically folded up pizza and did have sauce and whatever other items I wanted added. I have never had the stromboli but I have heard that the crust is more bread-like and there is no sauce.
