I don't think that they make games and gaming systems quite like they used to anymore. In my day the big things that were coming out were the original playstation and the nintendo sixty four and what not. My favorite consoles were playstation, N64, any kind of gameboy, and the gamecube was pretty cool too. Some of my favorite games were pokemon, breath of fire, and the legend of mana. What's some of your favorite retro gaming equipment or games?

Hi Yeah, the game consoles change fast and don't win our hearts the way they used before(even though I'm still pretty fond of my PS2). I like the Wii but not the Playstation 3,it's too bulky and loud. I would only consider it if they came out with Slim version and made it more affordable. My favorite console was-surprise!-NES lol It was the 1st one and it made the biggest impression on my still young mind. I still have nostalgy for good old times and rather often I find myself playing via emulators. What makes me really furious is that seemingly we were smarter as kids,I once spent a few weeks trying to finish Jungle Book when,as a kid,I made instant progress. I really loved adventure games, like Duck Tales,Rescue Rangers and fighting-MK and Street Fighter,Ninja Turtles and so on.

I was also a nintendo kid more mainly the super nintendo though. Street Fighter was one of my favorite games growing up and so was Mario Paint. I haven't really experimented much with the newer systems but I haven't really had the money to be able to buy one. I wonder if the systems from back in the day were as expensive as the ones today. My guess is probably not. I also have played some games from my childhood on emulators and I think they are a great thing for retro kids like us. Thanks for your response.

I'm not sure that I really have a favorite as far as the nintendo systems. I think we have them all, so we can play with any of them. We don't do Xbox or Playstation though...can't be that far into gaming lol

I think that the Xbox is an okay system but that's only because my brother has one and he knows like all the best games for that system. I'm still a much bigger fan of the systems that came out during my era though. I like the graphics of the old school games and the plot lines and all that good stuff.
